Sorry, but we're not a news site. Never have been and probably never will be. We're an information site. Rather than spending several hours a day tracking down news stories, I prefer to use that time to refine the game information we have to make the game easier to play. There are several dozen gaming news sites out there, all of which have almost exactly the same content. Any one of those will give you the news you need, as they are all pretty much interchangable (not to say they are bad, but that there's only so much news you can cover and most are good enough to cover it all). None of them have our content about how to actually play the game. Go to Gamespot, Vault, Stratics, Caster's Realm, etc. and read the news and then come here and find out how to actually play the game.

This site is definately awesome.

But the front page news updates are definately pretty useless. And there's no reason they need to be. For instance, I saw the news that FFXI hit 500k users on Gamespot a few days before it showed up here. That's pretty important news. Wouldn't that mean it has more users than Everquest?

I was actually surprised to see that news even showed up on the front page, and it should scroll off under the weight of a million updated items and quests in another hour or two.

I come to this site several times a day to read the forums; I just wish the front page had more news on it instead of useless noise, that's all.

That this site mainly serves the players as a complete guide to the game. Crafting, item database, classes, quests, missions, monsters, etc. There is so much information (please keep adding more if you have new information) on this site.

I use this site frequently for quest walk-throughs and I submit any quests that aren't listed. If you are seeking Final Fantasy Online 'news' I am sure there are sites geared towards that purpose.

Does anyone really read these updates? Personally, I only use the forums, but I wish, rather than a huge laundry list of updated items, there would be news about the game itself.
