Emotes

An "emote" is a text command used by a player to convey their current mood or just to spice up "face-to-face" conversation in-game. There are two types of emotes:

1. Built-in emote commands ~ Typing a built-in emote such as /laugh or /cry followed by the word "motion" will display the character performing the associated animation. Typing a built-in emote with "text" after it will cause the line of text to be displayed in the chat log and no corresponding animation will occur.
2. Custom emotes ~ Typing "/em" followed by custom text will cause the character's name and the custom text to be displayed in the chat log. No animation is displayed with custom emotes.
