Artifact Collecting (Rift)

When looking for Artifacts (commonly called "shinys") the thing to remember is that the devs are going to put them in places you cannot see from a road. SO, wherever you are, look around a moment and ask yourself "Where can I NOT see from here?" and go look there. Between rocks, on mountain tops, under bridges, behind low walls, underneath fallen trees and broken down wagons, inside urns and buckets... these are all prime shiny spots. A place you have gotten a shiny once always has a chance to have a shiny again, thought it might not, so remember where you have seen them before and check there any time you are passing by.

In Gloamwood, in Silkweb Pass, there are several on top of the large branches hanging over the path. You have to go to a tree further off the path and hop up onto the trunk, then walk down the branches until you can jump to the tree where the artifacts are.

On Stonefield, in Coterie Camp, there is one in a lantern hanging off one side of a tent, and another hidden in the flame on the top of a torch at the base of the path up to the camp.

We have seen them in the hollow top of a stump taller than your head, and in a skull on the bottom of a pond. In sepulchers lining the walls of Harrow Crypt, and hidden among the leaves of a thick, low-lying bush.

Quantum Sight and Omen Sight allow Ascended to see Twisted Artifacts. You obtain these skills buy purchasing them from your cities Ascended Powers Merchant for 25,000 Planarite.
