Wilderness zones are the only place where Boss mobs will drop Energy Bars. Mobs in a Wilderness zone respawn almost as fast as they fall so you have to keep moving to avoid being swamped.

Upon stepping on the entrance of a Wilderness zone you will be offered the choice to enter the Friendly (PvE) or Hostile (PvP) version. Quests may only be completed in the PvE zone, and Bosses appear only in the PvP zone.

Either way, NO EXP is earned for the killing of mobs in a Wilderness.
