As noted above, Ness Rugetomal is the Rarab's Tail (next to guild) sells the cookies. Cost me 23gil each and the 3 stacks +23 is exactly right amount. Very easy for ~7.5k compared to acorns @1k/stack on server plus fire crystals, crawler eggs, etc. I almost never buy my guild items, but I bought this one.

Acorns can also be logged with a hatchet in Lufaise Meadows and Misareaux Coast. However I don't know if they can be logged anywhere else.

Acorns are so hard to find at the AH because you get them via chocobo digging - the most underappricated FF sport =P

Hi Guys...
Since the patch of 9th December 2004, these now stack to 99, and hence have reduced in value somewhat.
They are now worth 6 guild points each, no idea how much HQ ones are, as acorns are impossible to find on Kujata server.
I managed to get enough acorns for a single synth, and got a yield of 33.
