you can get it once a year after the anniversary date if your content id(character) was created before the anniversary date/event
you do not recharge it after your use you ditch it because if you dont when you come back a year later and talk to the specified moogle in your home nation(bastok/windurst/etc)he will tell you he cant because it seems you have a similar item in your inventory/etc you must discard it
there is no requirement the character does not have to be on the game for 1 year nor the account
it has to be created before the anniversary date ive done this with a new account and new content ids(char.) to make sure.
for example
new account created jan 1st
Anni. date is MAY, you can recieve it but if it was created after the Anni. date you have to wait for the next one(anni date./year)
there is no certain time limit to receive it no matter how long you wait unless you wait til the next anni. event then you missed out on the previous one.

You need to have a character created 3months b4 anniversary event, then you can get it which this year is may 15th and the ring can never be recharged nor can you get a new one once yours is used u for that character.

If you have a character that has not been deleted, the only way to get this ring (I'm pretty sure) is to talk to a moogle in your home city (Bastok/San D'Oria/Windurst) during one of the Final Fantasy XI anniversary events, hence the name of the ring.

at 1st it was a quest i belive but now its not.
Im not exactly sure how i got this ring i went to the moogle in Port bastok in front of Resendetial area. This is the possibilites
1. my account had been active for over a year.
2. my account was unactive for 3 months and i came back during the welcome back campaign thing or w/e it is called. btw if you read that welcome back campaign it says you can get one if you come back after from having your account/Character(both of them of course) deactivated for 3 months and come back during the return home campaign(thats what it was called).
i think #2 is the most logical answer be cause there are those out there who have been active for more than a year.
3. everbody post here is just old and they recently made it available to those active users for over a year assuming your account was also active during the latest ffxi anniversary as well.

well they all should calm down in my oppion but they get angry cause it generaly means whoever used it will pass everyone else up even 1 level which could make the exp gained from kills the differenance of say 200 a kill to 170 a kill

So I take it the only time the ring will recharge or you can get it recharged is on a FFXI anniversary date and whom would recharge it the special event moogles or just the regular guard at the gate that normally recharges your rings. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we have two anniversary times last year. Maybe I'm hallucinating.

You can get it still. I got one last night just from talking to the Mog standing next to the Festive Mog outside the Residential Area in Port Sandy.

I got the Anniversary Ring on one of my other characters and my friend has one on all his alts so I know it's not just 1 per account. Has this just ended and they didn't remove him? Anyone know why he won't give me one?

You couldn't get the ring because the account had to be active for over a certain period of time, so you couldn't start 16 accounts in 1 day and reap the rewards but if your character had something like a day of playtime you could get one ^^
i got a msg saying the same thing that he has nothing for me i have tryed puting signet on tryed it with it off tryed zoneing every thing

Okay. I'm a total noob. I admit it. I've just come back to Vana'diel and got my Anniversary Ring...but apparently I have no idea how to use it. What's up with these charges and how do I activate the ring?

To use any item simply put it on and go into your invantory then go to the item you wanted to use (if it's usable) and wait for the little timer to hit 0, then once it hits 0 it should turn blue so you just click on it and click use, a purple arrow should come over your head then click again. Simple as that!

you got to be kidding me after a year went by i missed the new ones being givin out so i threw mine out, are you sure it recharges or do they just give you a new one.
do not use any other exp ring if you have this one active or vise versa. it will overwrite any other exp bonus you have on. and other exp bonuses will overwrite it.

Recast time is 1 "Game" day or approx. 1hr RL.
As stated, the Anniversary Ring can be obtained from just talking to any moogle within one of the towns-that's it-no questing or "buying" it with conquest points. It is part of the 5th Anniversary event taking place now.

Can this be used at the same time as an Empress Band or will it just overwrite the previously activated ring?
Use one, then use other once intial effect expires.

To those who say you get this ring from being married a year..... stop being retarted and get your information right. You get this ring from the mogs posted in the any of the major cities. (Windy, Bastok, Sandy) Just walk up to them talk to them, get your stats, and you get the ring right there. I just got mine today and am reluctant to use it cause after you use all 10 charges.... thats it no more ring.... LAME!!!!!
