I got one yesterday. I confirme no hidden effects. I tested it in dynamis-sandy for my first fight and Leviathan missed spinning dive 7 times over the course of dynamis. I usually miss a BP once a month with elemental staffs (not just water but any staff). Its prolly just bad luck. I think this staff should be equipable by SMN/WHM/BLM/RDM, it would actualy be a usefull staff again... and would offset thge addition of the Bahamut's staff.
Also not having all the elem staffs is so worth it, I actualy feel like I personaly dont weigh as much!

Got my Astral Signa back this week. God I missed having it.
Even though bahamuts and HQ elemental staves are "better" its an item most SMN will never have. Hell, it also saves me 7 spots in my inventory on SMN and the extra 1 MP per tick is so minimal with over 1200 MP, I could care less.
Plus the 18 MP on it makes up for 18 ticks of a HQ staff.

I just got one of these as well and it does *seem* like my avatar are hitting harder... I did Chaotic Strike on a T mob in sky and did 2100 damage. I NEVER did that before. But could just be coincidence....
Anyways, great staff. I love having the inventory space. Will server me well until I beat Bahamut for his :)

I just got one of these nice to have ,personally my avatars have been hitting harder from what i been seeing , Ialways use Titan on those new Mamool beastmen he never broke 1k till i had that signa ,i mean never. I also think it's Random increase on avatars , well just giving u my 2 cents

THF pulls it down PD in front of the cordidor you fall into
NIN vokes tzee from him
THF dies and NINs start fighting
haste & dual march does the trick
2h can be a pain but it never killed me once in the 6 times I fought him

arent HQ staves -3 perpetuation? O.o
talked to a few of the SMN lucky enough to use one of these.... NO solid proof of hidden effects yet acept widely belived it enahances avatars a bit. As for per cost its is only -2 as it states. I have personaly used one for day really saw no difference.
keep in mind this was at one point the best staff for a SMN as it was around LONG before the elemental staves. As for now it seems it is and always will be... a status symbol.

A Mil on your server? there is no way is that cheap, was it sold on the AH? if so, look at the date again. it's current market value is for sure more than a Mil, at least on Fenrir server. Our LS got one the other day, but they are planning to sell it for 50Mil. Is hard for me, as a 75 smn to see such a rare item selling to the others. well, my LS is all about fairness, they will need me to pay 50Mil if I decided to keep it .... ***** that!

seems like bull to me ... i don't care if it's 2k or 50 mil ... greedy LS to put gil before the needs of one of their own ...
they should at the least give you use of it until someone is interested in buying it ... a good number of LS's on my server do that with Kraken Clubs and Juggernauts

I agree, linkshells are there for the betterment of members. Any linkshell worth belonging to would put the equipment needs of a member before the desire for gil. It's absolutely sickening if they will sell a piece of equipment that a member honestly needs, rather than help that member out and let them use the equipment until they can find something better.
In a perfect LS where you can trust that summoner to stay with the LS and help with LS missions, quests and adventures, I'd totally agree.
But a 50mil item is inviting drama if it isnt sold.
There are several questions the LS will have in the back of it;s mind. What if that summoner leaves? What if another summoner wanted it? What if that summoner can't help someone who helped her get the staff?

The only way a LS should be obligated to give an item to a member is if the quest was intended for the member from the moment they boarded their chocos to go to Castle Oz.
But the LS should make it clear. If everyone engaged with the full intention of giving that 50mil drop to the summoner, then all is cool.

That summoner should have let everyone know that she intended to claim the astral signa *BEFORE* Tzee was even pulled. It is not fair to have someone fight for something they think they may get a reward for. It is the responsibility of the person who intends to claim the prize to make *CLEAR* he intends to claim the prize from the outset!

the whole old fashion switching staves is a pain but i heard the drop rate for this isnt any better besides ele staves look better than this
This has to be one of the worst drops in the game, currently i am 0/20 on this fought Tzee on full moon, new moon 3 75 thfs and still nothing. I think there are like 5 on our server, and seems imo you camp it it woln't drop, yet random people just finding him get it lol, but it is a nice item to have, and is more of a status symbol for smn's than anything

The Random increase and decrease on Avatar cost per second after using a blood pact is a flase statement. I have an Astral Signa, and have never seen Perp. cost change after a BP.

I obtained this from Tzee Xicu the Manifest with my LS several days ago. Sadly no hidden effect from my observations so far...
