Question.. alience counts as a PT right? if not then fool atm but think if it did ^_^ 17 x 2 = 34+46= 80.... that would be ultament ^_^ but i'm probly just on some fantasy trip atm lol ^_^
If the Hidden effect is correct, i.e. = +2 Dmg per party member then the DPS on a full party is 12.72 O.O when using it by yourself has around 10.45. Basicaly It makes this sword damage comparable to the Excalibur ...but withought attack + 20 and additional effects lol...
BTW. computation on DPS (Damage Per Sec.) is Base damage x 60 (sec.) / delay= D.P.S.
In an exp pt in Caedarva Mire a few days ago i had a Pld who claimed the Company Sword had Dmg 58 in a pt. He thought the latent effect was +2 Dmg to him for every member in the pt {46dmg+6x2 = 58}. I said no you are wrong, the latent is +2 dmg to every other member in the pt, except the sword holder. He wouldn't have any of it, called me a n00b, among other things and said i was wrong. He even equipped one to try and prove me wrong, but his Dmg wasnt much better than his Joyeuse. :( Shame i forgot his name, but i'd thought i'd post a link for him to read anyway. :)
And besides, if Company Sword had Dmg 58 nearly all War,Pld and Drk would use one. lol And the price wouldn't be dropping {about 290k on Ifrit} so much.

umm....you may be reading this wrong or i may be reading this wrong, but the link you posted says:
Hidden Effect activated when in a party. Damage increases by 2 for every member in the party (excluding sword wielder)
this could mean either one of 2 things:
1) you're right and everyone else gets 2 damage
or
2) you're wrong and this adds 2 DMG to the company sword for every other party member. In other words in a full party this has 56 damage.
I was always led to believe the second option. and if the damage difference wasnt much it may have been the PLDs gear. If the PLD had normal tanking gear, it would have been hard to tell, but there is a huge difference in a 35 damage weapon vs. a 46 damage weapon even without gear.
Ok i believe you guys about the +2 dmg but how can this be confirmed how is everyone sure and how does everyone know this? Please I would like to know this
This is really a badass Sword.^^ Just yesterday I was in a Axeburn (lvl 69-71) with some of my LS members-- I put the Sword in main hand, and the overall DPS was higher than everyone elses Axe including mine (vs Tabarzin, Francisca, Tungi, and Rune Axe), but even with all the hits connecting on Vorpal Blade, it could only just barely match Rampage in terms of dmg (probably due to Vorpal Blade only being a 4-hit WS vs Rampage's 5-hit). In the end I recommend this to any WAR that likes a Sword in off hand (it's better than the expensive Blood Sword), but can't get a Joyeuse just yet. Also cool for those PLD that use a bit of DD to gain and sustain hate^^b
(P.S. On Carbuncle Server the weapon is 600k and rising... >.>)
The Base DMG on this sword increases 2 points for every member in the party. So in a typical 6 person EXP PT it goes from 46-56 (5, you not incuded =P) making it very powerful indeed.
This sword if you are interested in more dmg is definatly worth it to have. When i used an Espandon +1 i noticed i was only averaging about 70 dmg per swing, then i bought the Company for a trial and the damage increase to me seemed alot. Was averaging about 85-100 all of this on even match mobs. Has a great attack boost for HNM as will IMO. In alliances and full partys Ive also noticed the Attack rating i have varies depending on the people in the party about 20-30 attack or so. Definatly a nice choice if you have adaman gear or Koenig for the +Vit. Good sword.
I can't imagine why anyone would choose this sword over an Espadon +1. You'd trade +3 on VIT and MND for +2 on damage? People are nuts. Also, the +7 attack on an Espadon +1 makes up for the damage difference anyway. But for some reason people sell their Espadons for this.
Stats aren't everything. This is the most powerful non-rare/ex sword. I'm not 70 yet, but I'm gonna see about the "hidden effect" when I get there. One level >.>
