that was prices around the great gil sale of X-mas 2005, everything easily doubled in price, and it took several months, and banning of a number of gilsellers to get prices under control. I want me one of those rings /em drools

Ether probably around 1.5, havent checked recently.
Serket ring = 9 Mill and moves up and down a bit

Don't forget that Astrals are level 10 and this is level 40. Astrals are available for a lot more things than this is.

On Quetz the prices are decent as well.

Ethers are gonna keep dropping though, seeing as how theyre apparently pretty easy to get.(There are 19 on the AH right now)

You have it lucky lol. Atrals on Midgar are more expensive then ether rings merely because astrals are lvl 10. last time i checked astrals were 1.2 mil and rising. ether were 700k-1mil and serket.. well... something like 7mil last i checked(about 1-2 months ago)
And to think, had people not been whiney little complainers, and astrals in Oztroja, they'd still be 120k, maybe 200k from inflation, and this ring wouldn't have to exist! Well you get what you wish for.

The reason these will stay at a fairly high price is that the ENM you have to complete to get it is by far one of the hardest for a standard party to beat.
3x explosion sucks (mob is a cluster bomb). I beat this one 3 times (only 1 ether ring) and went with a 3 smn party.
Not one death other then our pet's and pulled in some great profit.

Actually on Lakshmi Astrals are sitting dead at 1M and these are 1.3M.

its the lower level requirement on the astral that makes it the same price... if ether rings were the same level they would probably be 5x more expensive

It'll drop in price just give it time. As soon as a new item comes out it's always over-priced, then it gradually drops in price once all the rich-kids have bought them and no-one else can afford the high prices.
I have had personal experience with this over Durandal - started at 1.9mil, down to 900k on midgard (I bought one at 1.9mil, curse my impatience).

omg on Fairy these babies go for 4 million now, our astrals are nearing 1 million, and I dont think that the 5 MP should mean a towering price difference, but thats Fairy for you -.-

these have been going for 1.5 or 1.8 million. Astrals are at 500-600 or so astrals aren't going down and these will likely climb.

Maybe if there's enough of these floating around the price of astral rings will drop some. But it's kind of cool how they are making new versions of all the good gear to deter gil selling. Since gil sellers don't do BCNM, or ENM.
