.. after having this sword form lvl 18, i am now 22.. it just NOW just NOW its first time had its protect, and it was just for 3dmg... LAME spent 10k on this, pathetic
This is a good standard sword that i used for a long time lvl 18 to 30 for some reason, woulda been better like zuesthecat said to buy the small sword. Damage doesnt matter if you cant hit the dang target. This sword is OK in my book its not like it adds the fire element additional damage every time, which it is obviously why its not the most widely used sword.
I would recommend you use the Small Sword at 19 instead Dmg:13 Dly: 226 Dex: +2 versus Dmg:15 Dly:225 and the less than 1% chance of Additional Effect: Fire Damage. Just a thought.
Even if you're not a thf, the extra dex will help you hit more often.
Should I buy this for my Mithran THF? It seems decent enough since THFs can't equip Longsword. I suppose the only bad thing would be the previously mentioned problem of rare occasion of addition fire damage. But would this be a good sword for a THF when it hits 18?
My question is weather the En-XXX effect will override the additional effect, or weather an En-XXX spell will be ineffective on a weapon with an additional elemental damage effect.
1. Way over priced 2. Despite the name, there is no flames eminating from this sword. 3. You get fire damage maybe once ever 2 or 3 fights (very lame). 4. Decent dmg and very fast attack but that's the only advantage.
PS: Square, would you plz stop giving missleading pictures of weapons! The pic in the game shows a flaming sword...so make it a flaming sword not a plain one!!
I just bought one and so far I'm not real impressed with it. I only get the added fire maybe 1 out of 6-7 swings. May sell it back and pay the extra for the flame sword.
Fire effect when it procs is so so, like a small ball of fire with some black fuzz. At level 18 rdm it hit for 5 extra damage. Doesn't seem to proc a whole lot though.
Doesnt look like they were asking if it has a visual proc effect. Does it have a particle effect? As in, when you're holding it, are there flames or something.
