Don't think you can which is unfortunate. I tried to gauge an DC in Pashow Marsh but it said I wouldn't be able to charm it. Maybe it's because these are a kind of beastman (semi-intelligent)?
I'm pretty sure they count as sentient beasts. They're self aware of their own conciousness. "I think therefore I am."
us bsts used to be able to charm them a while back same with marbolas until there were alot of compliants that with them we were to strong so SE took them away from use but i guess they left us his BST jug in his memory so tat will be pretty cool being able to have him as a pet... go into a noob area and call one and ull get millions of ohhs and awwws lol

BST's used to be able to charm rare mobs, such as goobbues, malboro's, ram's, etc., but that was before NA release, and the ability was taken away for various reasons.
