Latent?

I managed to pick one today, though I cant use mine for another 5 levels.

I was curious about how often the latent kicked in? I used the Kabrakan's Axe a lot until recently, the one with the latent effect: Slow. The latent kicked in pretty often, however it proc'd at an insanely high rate on earths day (Slows element), usually multiple times per fight.

I was wondering if the Leopard Axe worked in the same way? Does it see a massive proc rate increase during waters day(Poisons element), like the Kabrakan?

Hello im on midguardsmr and...i am dying to obtain this axe

I would be willing to trade a hauby + a p.charm or substitute in a emperor hairpin or a woodsman ring for any of the first two.
Why it costs what it does....

Some people argue about this axe, overall it is a kick *** axe that does have some benefits and some downfalls. Benefits, one of your stronger axe's per dmg with a great poison attribute, great for second hand axe, with a decent delay of 288 like most axe's, and has chr3 str3 to help stats. Downfall, solo for bst could = no exp if you release pet and poison kills as it goes unclaimed for a second, like dia does sometimes... Besides that I cant think of any other downfalls besides the price which is expensive because of how you get it. You have to add in that the person usually selling the item had saved up all the 99ks's, gather together 18 person alliance, and get the drop from the kill.... All that adds up to the person wanting what he fought for, either the item to keep or to sell. Thats why it costs what it does. If it was an easy fight you would see lots of bst roaming around with this and lots of thfs with Stylet as well which you never see ^^. For a TP Burn party this is a great axe. The extra dmg from the poison second handed with woods would rock for faster kills which = more exp!

who would pay 8m for an axe with poison dot after the new claim system? I have experienced problems when the mob would die of dia, going unclaimed (yellow), and then dieing without gaining any exp. This would apply too for Poison, and considering the axe's poison is stronger than dia, its worst. Maybe for tp burn parties is good, but 8m ? Im not made of gil!

I agree the price is just plain absurd, but a few of my beastmaster friends have probably had wet dreams about this axe. I wish some things were a little more in reach, not dirt cheap, just enough to keep an honest person honest.

A friend of mine was using this axe to fight too weak (to him) orcish footsoldiers with me. I was hitting them for 40ish a swing, about every 4 seconds thanks to wrath tabars high delay. The poison was taking off about as much per tick as I was a swing, and was every 3 seconds rather than 4. He'd run up, proc the poison, and move to the next orc.

So the effect, like other additional effects, seems to get more powerful the weaker the monster is to you. I'm also wondering if it's affected by enhancing skill, like the elemental additional effects are, or enfeebling like the status effect additional effects are, or INT or MND like their spell counterparts are. I'll test it out, as soon as I get another 14 levels and a couple mil to buy the axe.

i have this axe as well, and i can tell you it is NOT 3hp a tick. i dunno if its diff depending on what your testing it on, but it really eats away at some health. if i had to judge it would be closer to 15 than to 3hp.. 3hp theres no way... theres been MANY fights were something falls dead from the poison at the end

o and also, it DOES activate a lot. not as much as kabrakan from what i saw tonight, but it activates enough to satisfy. before releasing and engaging it would at least activate 1-2 times in a couple mins of time. good nuff for me :)
i got this tonight and...

i got this tonight, and it is nasty. period. i dunno about the 15hp a tick or the 3hp a tick..which 3 seems way to low?? but i tested it tonight on a robber crab (easy prey) in boyada tree, i hit it with effect, charmed it, and watched. it dropped its health from 90 percent to 85 percent and lasted about 2-3 mins. i dunno how much health the crabs have.. but 5 percent hp taken off an ep crab is pretty sweet. makes bst a whole lot easier when u got poison eating away at its health when its time to release :)
I personally tested this

It is not 15 HPs at tick. Not even close.

It's 3 HPs a tick. I used Diorama gheshelba to test with a EM level 73 PLD friend. It's a lesser DMG / STR woodville replacement.

Since its BST only, shouldnt be anywhere near the price of a woody. Maybe nearer to Wrath Tabar priced. I doubt I would whip this out for *anything* that may need sleeping at an HNM camp.

3 HPs a tick. It lasted for exactly 2 minutes. It also was exactly countered by a Herc ring.

It's said to be particularly nasty, to the effect of 15ish hp a tick.

Alright, so if it *is* in the game, any info on where it's from? I know I wouldn't mind having one of these...

Edit: Alright, I did some digging. Come to find out, this weapon can be obtained in the BCNMs Early Bird Catches the Wyrm and The Hills are Alive. Both are 99 Kindred Seal, uncapped alliance battles.
