ok tried it, these definitely better than cougar baghnakhs, the delay the much better, and the ice damage doesn't make much diff in dmg

Yeah man, forget those *STUPID* baghnakhs. Its not as if Lynx Baghnakhs have the best damage to delay ratio till lvl 30, and forget the fact that they're easy to quest and great for both MNK and PUP. Yeah dude, ***** them and their utility. (I know this post is old, but that is seriously the most pathetic comment I have yet seen)

I have to second the question above -- I have the cougar ones right now -- with the same damage plus ice.
What is the advantage of these, other than speed.

these sell for about 1k on gilgamesh and i would asume it would be close on all others they are very easy to obtain and very very good for a monk extremly fast so i would sugest doing this quest or buying these is you are a monk or a thief with hand to hand

Go to Sandoria, then go to the place before the residential area, im not sure what its called. Talk to Norejaie. She'll give a quest called "Eco-Warrior" after that go in "Ordelle Caves" ect.....

If I start in Bastok and head over to San at around 24 can I quest to get these? Or do I need to start in San?
You'll need medium fame in Sandoria to get the quest, I believe, but there's plenty of quests to work your fame up.
As for price, I believe they sell for around 4 or 5k on Leviathan Sandoria auction.

you can buy these from the AH in San D'oria for 1.5 - 2k right now. I bought one and put it in my safe for safe keeping because the stats on this weapon, I would expect by the time I get to level 24 (13 right now), the price of this weapon will probably be up to 4-5k.
I've never seen the price of a Quest obtained item go *up*. There's an infinite supply, and since it costs almost nothing, the more people to complete the quest the more of these on the market.
Not being a monk was just wondering if this quest is worth doing to sell the item.. Any idea's what it goes for?

It needs level 24 to use, so yewah its logical to have that speed! Ideal for monks!!! such as myself

yea but the way it works with claw weapons is that the delay is added to the speed of yer fists... so 30 + your natural delay...

The delay modifies your hand 2 hand damage.
