It's just a silly map. Why do you even need a map? How often are you going to be passing through there anyway? The odds of you ever finding yourself stuck in some strange scary place that you'd need a map to find your way out of or else you die- are one-in-a-million! Relax, there's nothing in Fei'Y'in that can kill you. Its mostly happy treasure trees, fluffy mushroom fellows, and giddy gob-gobbies. None of them agro from some odd reason. Must be because of the Mandy-bud I took before entering. Anyway, maps are silly. You can just put people on follow and let them carry you to your next destination...like a free cab- Flintstone's Style!

I think you have to be from windy...? i might be wrong, iunno im tired but i just kept going to the qsts you have to do before you get the next one and all that **** andthen i see "next missions" "Previous mission" and "reward rank 2 and some gil" just my thoughts, any1?

I've done both book quests and I still cannot receive this quest. I have level 6 or 7 fame and all this guy tells me is to leave him alone he's working on translating or something like that.
Is there anything else I need to do to get this quest? I'm becoming increasingly exasperated

i dont have the map, and cant get it atempting to trade the items frost turnip and slime oil to Hariga-Origa..Any Ideas?

You have to do a series of quest before you could do the quest for the map of Fei'Yin. It's a little vague, but the quests before the map of Fei'Yin quest are all in the same place where you have to go and get back the books for that place. I think there are 2 quests where you have to go and get the books back, before you could do the map of Fei'Yin.

Hmm, I don't think fame is always the case. I have hero status fame in windy right now and I still can't get it. I'll try trading him the items anyway and see what happens.
