I read, somewhere that if you use this. Regardless of where, your hp/mp is currently at it will heal your hp/mp to full. Kind of like you level up kind of effect. Can anyone confirm this ?

Just watched someone use it and they got 1804xp. So it may not be all the way to 2000, but it's certainly higher then 1500.

Would just like to say, can get these and the Dragon Chronicle pages from the chocobo race.. you can only do them once conquest tally, and you MUST make it within a certain time..

I just had a bad experience with this too (as some have mentioned above).
I used on my 75 capped exp job, hoping for merits.
Got a message saying "Svalitz earns 1455 Experience points!"
Got nothing.
I'm complaining to SE, for not including any sort of warning that states "Does NOT count towards merit points" ANYWHERE on it.

I can confirm this. I had maxed out EXP when I used this item today, and was awarded with 1480 experience points, but since my EXP was capped, I got nothing. No limit points, nothing!!!

Since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned... As far as I know, this can't be used for gaining Limit points. Even if you have set your limit point active instead of EXP. The bonus will still go into your total EXP count.

I wonder if the Empress Band (or similar items) would also affect the amount of exp given (as in give you the 50% extra). Has anyone tried that?
My friend tried to use an Empress band before he got exp in ballista once, it didnt work.

Am sure most people have heard about this, but a) get the Memoirs (or Dragon Chronicle page), b) level to 70 and max out your level 70 skills, c) lose xp so you are down to around 100 below 70 when you fight Maat, d) about half way through the fight (especially if you have sleep ability), instead of using potions, etc., use the page, level up. Full magic, full hp, and all the new level 70 skills. Drives the old man crazy.

I have used Dragon Chronicles to level up a few times. I've been trying to do the lost Chocobo quest to get one of these... 0/1 so far.

If you use this and are close to lvling and get enough exp to lvl, will you? Or will it just give you the amount up until one away? Can these be used for limit points as well?
I know for a fact that you can level a job if you are close enough with the dragon scroll I don't see why you couldn't with this. I think that Leet may have just had some bad luck
Well I sat at 1005 TNL 64 last week and did the Bastok run. I got my memoires, used them, 1004 exp. >< So it looks like it will take you up to 1 tnl but not level you. Unless I'm really unlucky which wouldn't surprise me. LoL

I think 1000-1500 is the true range for this item, otherwise I am just incredibly consistent.
*EDIT: I just did this quest again with 2 friends, 2 of us got over 1000 but one of us got 800ish XP. Guess I was mistaken, you can indeed get less than 1000 off these. Maybe 800-1500 is the true range.

what minimum level is this item restricted to? i know the dragon chronicles are limited to around level 4 or so, or is there a minimum level at all?

i used this at lvl 66 and got 901 xp
People talk about the horror of gettign 25xp. I can't bring you your knightmare, but I can coem close. I wa sin rulude gardens a few days ago, and soemone used this only to recieve 67xp.
I've seen as low as 8xx and as high as 13xx. Never seen 14xx+
You get a random amount of exp ranging from 1000-2000 exp I believe.

The top post, or "original post" as you incorrectly put it, was actually done AFTER the post you bashed for not reading it, though it didn't exist to read at the time. So I think that YOU might be the one know needs to read dates more closely ><. In addition, the website itself says that you get a random amount of exp up to 2000. So I'd be more inclined to believe that instead some random poster saying "I THINK you get between 1000-2000."

Since when is the website infallable, for all we know, it can give far more than 2000, its just highly unlikely. Thats the thing with randomness, you never know when it's reached it's limit.

Id be happy to answer that. I know 3 people in my ls who have done the escort quest atleast 2 times each. they got 1000-2000 exp each time.
