I'm a 46 DRG on Siren and there are barely any of these for sale ever. I'm going to need one fairly soon and I haven't been able to get one. So if anyone on Siren can either make one for me or has one to sell to me please send me a message and I'll pay you whatever the AH price is.
When I tried this synth with 21 smithing, I was told I was too far below the level to do it. I then leveled to 32 in smithing and the system allowed the attempt. Of course, it was a dismal failure. I leveled to 35 smithing, got smithing synth support and made ~5 out of 8 attempts while gaining a couple skillups in smithing.
I noticed this to be the same amount of failures I got when I started demon arrows at 59 WW. I reasoned that the level is somewhere around 45 smithing. Beyond that I shouldn't get any skillups in smithing.
I leveled smithing to 42 last night and tried again. This time, I got 3 successes with no failures and a few skillups in smithing. Looking at the smithing receipe list, it makes sense as mythril weapons start capping in the 40s. Now I have no intention of skilling up my smithing with this synth, but I'll keep testing it as I skill up smithing and let you know where I don't get any further skillups.

Well I am 68 Woodworking and 37 Smithing, and I was getting Skill ups making these in smithing.
I got 2 .1 Smithing Skill ups with 3 synths 1 Fail 2 Success.
Anyone know what the Smithing actually is on this synth? I'm only a 14 Smithing with a 68 Woodworking so I highly doubt I can make it. But just seeing if anyone had a rough guess.

The original lance is 2 ash lumber and 2 steel ingots, so I would assume this is made from 2 mythril ingots and 2 pieces of ash lumber, since ash is still used in the Darksteel Lance. This is just an assumption though
