Well if the new update details are right at Lv75 this now gives someone using a 2 handed weapon:
STR+5
Attack+5 (STR+1 = Attack+1)
DEX+5
Accuracy+5 (DEX+1 = Accuracy+1)

How is this different from what the stats were before the update? >.>
It's different because it used to be 2 DEX = 1 accuracy and 2 STR = 1 attack. So now you get 5 Accuracy 5 Attack instead of 2 accuracy and 2 attack (since FFXI drops the decimals).

that's a pretty significant difference for the ring slot.
a direct correlation of under 3. most people used Sniper's/Woodsman's for TP and switched for WS. that's no longer the case for 2 handed weapon users.

Yes, but this was always the case with this ring.
At 75 it always had +5 str and +5 dex, and str has always had a direct correlation to att and dex to acc

i dunno if when it says "Store TP+5" that means every job gets it, but i can help confirm that if a piece of gear says "enhances (so and so JA)" u then obtain that JA. example: i did the aht urghan quest and obtained a bibiki shell. next i went to sea serpent grotto as sam/war and equiped it. i fought a skeleton and nothing happened (of course) then a crab. while fighting the crab it kept saying "the snipper is intimidated by Capeten's presence." at first i was like "...wth?? i dont see a bst anywhere, and im sam/war...hm...OH! bibiki shell!" so...just in case that helps clear anything up for anyone.
Well, ith no exp loss on the Cop NM's (wtg SE) you would think I could get some help getting pasth 4-2 so I may one day have a shot @ this unbr ring. Well, I died atleast 10 times before march upgrade and I lvl'ed my War just so I could do this fight to fonf out people noe want Pld wich I will not lvl. Who Knows, POOF of all people kicked me out of her LS just now and I got the drops off both Rams for Purple belt so maybe things are going to start looking up. lol

well this is @#%^ing bullsh*t! the store TP job trait boosts my drk tp with scythe from 13 to 15. at lvl 37 u have two traits active. so no matter what ne one says thats 1 tp per trait. understanding that possibly means that each trait adds a certain percent but maybe SE could have been clear about that before ppl drop millions of gil and countless hours chasing down this pipe dream. now maybe im kooky, maybe im crazy but with that knowledge when i see store tp +5 on a piece of gear thats aquired from beating the most difficult mission set in the game.....I EXPECT IT TO BE BADASS!!! not just slightly better then what i was already using......./sigh i hate u SE!

um...Store TP+5 ,as for any equip with Store TP stat is .5 ie. half a point per hit or what not(Store tp+2 is .2 etc) just thought id clear that up

As your lvls progress the str you get increases like when your lvl 30 and you have this ring it gives you + 2 str and then when your lvl 75 it will give you + 5 str

I would like to note it is impossible to leech the uncapped fights, although I did beat all of CoP and ZM as BLM65, you cannot do those fights without doing something. I did CoP 8-3 as main healer, and another BLM for sleeping/nuking. Although I did do the occasional nuke to help out, I also did all the healing. I went in 8-4 with the intention of main healing, but ended up only helping with it. I was also a stunner and nuker, basically I was in charge of keeping Prishe alive.
So, all of you who say "looks like you road some coat tails" or some comment about "leeching", I'd like to say, KISS MY ******* *** IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

WILL THE (store TP+5, subtle blow+5) WORK ON ALL JOB'S EVEN ONES THAT DONT GET THAT TRAIT? OR WILL IT JUST MAKE IT BETTER ON JOBS THAT ALREADY HAVE THAT JOB TRAIT, AND DO NOTHING FOR THE ONES THAT DONT?

it will oviously work on all jobs, not just jobs that nativly get those traits.

it will NOT work for all. you only gain a bonus from equipment if it says "Enhances". for example the brutal earring Enhances Double attack.

read his question before you reply, raja ring effect will work for all jobs, your talking about something totally different so you should specify, yes this ring works for all jobs but if it says the word "Enhances blah blah trait" on another peice of armor then you must already have that job trait for it to be enhanced..... >.> you could confuse someone who doesnt know, this ring is def worth the time for a DD job like drg, mnk , war , etc.
It will work regardless of whether you have the trait ot not to start with. As THF/NIN I get no natural store TP, however, without the ring i get 9TP/dual weild and with Rajas on, I get 10. So yes it works.
Brutal is the same, THF/NIN will get 5% double attack. "Enhances" is very misleading IMO.

This ring and the quality of COP (new places/story/cs's) make you forget about all the exp/gil/time you have lost to finish it lol. Last COP fight... is the best fight I did in game

I am having a hard time choosing between this ring and the Tamas ring.
Tamas ring would certainly help me out in exp parties, but I can only imagine how awesome the Rajas ring would be for the times where I get to melee.

Store TP does not work such that +1 is .1 TP.

Higher delay weapons will generally benefit more from Store TP than low delay ones.

No it does not. That's like saying Haste benefits higher delay weapon. The rate of haste is constant across various delays, and so is the rate of Store TP across various weapons.
Now, if you say Store TP benefits higher _accuracy_ weapon, that'd be true. Store TP won't do anything if you're whiffing.^^

He's saying that haste benefits all weapon types across the board, in much the same way store TP does. He likened the fallacy of saying store TP only helps slow weapons to the fallacy of saying haste only benefits fast weapons.
hey. lvling thf on alexander, got a question. im currently 55 atm, how much of each stat would i get at this lvl? and would this ring be better than a grace ring? i ptd with someone in garliage who was getting +3 from each stat and since that was around lvl 48, im guessings its been bumped up by now? and who wouldnt want +4 de +4 str, store tp+5, and subtle blow+5 over DEX+4? lol

i am currently increasing samurai @22 and hoping to do CoP mission's w/ it later on (like right at 30) and today i hear the 1st 3 are caped at lvl 30 the whole way threw and the last 1 u need a 70+job!! wtf i have rdm 51 but no1 ever wants a rdm for the Promy quest's and 51 is a farcry from 75

Fast hitting lower dmg weapons are usually less prefered for a couple reasons but one being the TP they generate for the mob. Without the subtle blow bonus, using single hand sucks because the mob will generate weapon TP+3 / hit.
So if I go dual axes instead of gax, I will be doing (7+3)*2 every combat round vs 12.5+3. Thats 20 TP vs 15.5 which in that case, you'd seriously want the two handed weapon. After ring, that becomes (7-2)*2 vs 12.5-2 which becomes a 10 vs 10.5 with the great weapon actually generating a possibly greater TP to damage ratio on mob than it takes to dualwield.
Mnks and nins with already existing subtle blow in there JT's could generate near non-existant TP gain on mob with this ring.

Every time I come here to see this ring I just drool. At level 71 as a thief that does a lot of solo farming, I would get str+4 and dex+4 while having more dancing edge go off due to better TP building, omg, I want this ring badly.

You have to complete the final CoP mission. :P You get a choice of one of three rings, and you can only ever get that one (much like with the Divine Might earrings). The other two rings are Tamas Ring and Sattva Ring.

Some other store tp equip works for other jobs ive noticed mainly if its used by alot of jobs , or all, it has some effect, will confirm asap.
