Sorry to double post, but to to answer the pervious question. Get the Cruel Spear at 20, drop it like a bad habit at 23 for this one.

OR...if you don't mind holding on to the Royal Spearman's, and your a woodworker...grab the items for the recipe, and when you hit 23, just upgrade.

Yes, it's a Woodwork, I'd guess 25 or so.
Earth Crystal + Royal Spearman's Spear + Ash Lumber.
Also of note, the Spear adds +3 Attack.
