I got this a few months ago and I can confirm it does drop off of Bistre Hearted Malberry. I've noticed that many top notch pieces are now comming with int, mnd, chr and magic accuracy. Examples are goliard clogs and omega ring from einherjar.
Since I don't have access to that new znm staff Alkalurops, I usually dual wield this with antares. I've liked the results. I can land silence on stuff like tiamat and khimaira pretty easily.

Great....another weapon packed with +Light and +CHR that BST can't use... I love this game.
0-10 so far, have had a Waterga III and a Flood scroll drop so far in the 10 tries.

yes, sucks BRD can't use it. BLU can and CHR effects the learning of abilities and INT effects BLU's spell potency, as well as black magic for BLM & RDM. WHM or RDM could benefit from the MND bonus & divine magic bonus. Why is everyone talking about how pointless this item is? I wouldn't knock myself out trying to get this item, but does seem pretty handy.

This item is Rare/Ex, and not that great for any of the jobs that can use it. The most useful stat it has may very well be the Light+15. Because that's just so large that some day someone may want it.
On second thought, I've heard CHR affects bar- spells, so, if 7CHR affects a Bar spell more than the appropriate staff, someone might actually want this.

Yea, not letting BRD use this sucks a lot - makes you wonder why they put CHR in a weapon for those jobs though... there must be something about CHR we don't know. ; ;
This is dropped by Bistre-Hearted Malberry I'm not sure about the level but it seems to be 65-70. Spawns off a lottery of Tonberries in the F-9 to F-11 area in Den of Rancor. Good Luck! More info as I get it.
