hmmm... this is kinda hard. Do you have to be the last one to hit it to get the item? Or do you just have to hit it a certain amout of times?

if you want the hordwood katana you got to be the one thet does the "final blow" to kill it...
if you do that wou will get a hardwood katanaanyway you just need to hit it 12 times to get one of tease

THis quest is hard becase on you do like crapy damage and two party are al around and only the party how kill the runing fake monster getts the item

The crap damage is the point of this quest.
The only thing (if anything) that drops from these is maybe dark crystals, but I'm not even sure about that. You still get points for taking away the Aura no matter if you're the original claimer or not. It's not who kills it that gets the points, it's whoever does damage to it.

Damaging it will only get you mochi. If you want the hardwood katana, you will need to kill it.
