As a THF, the best club (minus Kraken) I can wear (at lvl 65) is the Shellbusters which are pretty weak.
This is a nice club for skill ups and for those 'special' fights against undead when my daggers suxor.

there are two club weaponskilss (that i know of) that heal mp. my whm has them both, one heals just yourself, and the other heals the whole party (it's a very small amount, maybe 15mp. i don't remember since as a whm i usually don't get enough tp to use it). i'm gonna guess that the second one can only be attained by whms, like how only rngs can get ranged weaponskills.
the reason i bring that up is that using this club for pld could be a good way to get some mp back (what, you wanted to do some damage? silly pld) and then use the mp to heal yourself for more hate. i dunno, but the process of healing mp might also bring hate.

More or less this is the best Club (for non-whms) that you can get, 1st being the oh-so godly Kraken club. I got it to at least do some damage while skilling up club.
Far and away the most damaging club in the game for those jobs that cannot equip mauls.

it also has VIT so if PLD want to skill up club, they still get a little VIT...

Besides the additional effect of Earth damage, how is this special?

I haven't seen any additional special effects of the club, but one of the reasons I personally got it - "All jobs" - which includes Bard...who sort of get the short end of the weapon stick. This is the next highest club that we can use after the Shell Buster..and since most of us sub WHM, we can skill and use club weapon skills.
