Level 30 Subjob Items

There are level 30 Earrings, Shields, Belts and Mantles that all trigger on Latent Effects. These all correspond with a job.
All of them activate via Subjob. Nothing else will trigger these to activate, NOT main job, ONLY subjob.
The newest jobs (Blu, Cor, Pup) do not have these items (as of 7/27/06).

Subjob: Monk        - Wrestler's  (Earring, Mantle,  Aspis, Cestus Belt) 
Subjob: Ninja       - Genin       (Earring, Mantle,  Aspis, Sarashi) 
Subjob: Paladin     - Esquire's   (Earring, Mantle,  Targe, Shield Belt) 
Subjob: Ranger      - Beater's    (Earring, Mantle,  Aspis, Gun Belt)

There are other Latent effect items that trigger at different things such as Low HP, <100% tp, a bard song on you, This is NOT one of those items.
The only thing that activates these items is your subjob.

Still not available on Titan. Sadly.

My guess is that it hasn't dropped from the BCNM yet or the one's who have gotten it won't sell it.

*sigh* One day...

For now I rely on Sweet Rice Cakes, juice(til Refresh), Pilgrim's Wand and Baron's Slops for my healing. But every little bit helps.

I have noticed that when an item becomes available to sell in AH, SE updates the AH lists but this little beauty isn't there. For whm under 40 there isn't very good capes for them. I had really hoped to get this.

The mp regen while resting is the nice part about it, if any of you have ever played whm you should know that what helps make a good whm is their ability to regen mp back. Witch Kabobs give +3 and spicy crackers give +7 with a duration of 3 minutes making it difficult to time right. This mantle combined with seer's tunic would help. Some pies +1 give mp while resting +2, it's all about the mp regen! Melon juice also not only gives you 2 mp every 3 seconds refresh but ALSO give mp while resting +2, duration is a bit less than a yagudo drink but costs a LOT less and can be vendor bought right in lower jueno!!!

The point of all this is really what ppl want from this mantle....the mp regen while resting and even though it seems we cannot have it, I hope the information I have provided will suffice in it's place. Good luck ^^

One of these has yet to show up on Garuda (on the AH anyway). I actually doubted its existance until i saw the picture. Unfortunately at lvl 57 this would be almost uselss to me /cry. I suppose though this would have been ideal when i was lower lvl. To bad i could never get one.

they are from the last batch of BCNM30's that was added a little while back:
Grove Guardians, Harem Scarem, Dropping Like Flies, Let Sleeping Dogs Die, Toadal Recall...
not sure which BCNM drops which mantle/shield, but those are the ones where they are available. ^^ hope the info helps ^_^

ps: since all of the mantles and most of the shields have lousy def, and only a few actually have better abilities than other stuff that is easily available at that level, very few people have even bothered attempting these... which is why there is a system wide shortage of them available, and why even some of the older servers are missing their info from the AH.

I want the wizard's mantle only for resting. With RDM's notoriously slow MP regen rate, every little bit helps until I have Refresh/can equip a Dark Staff.

It's not on the Ifrit AH, either >.<

What drops this mantle anyway? Checked the BCNMs and don't see it listed among the possible drops for any of them.

pretty sure its subbing blm since its "Wizards" and the other 30 capes are for a specific sub like the fast cast booster 30 cape which enhances fast cast for a job that subs rdm which is the main reason why it is so pricy (that cape would be a dream cape and the only reason i would ever sub rdm for my brd)
