Took him down solo as 66drg/whm. The fight wasn't too hard but lasted a while. The pots ended up aggroing my magic near the end but someone came by and took care of them. Made sure to cast barblizzara while he was casting Freeze (he was casting Freeze and not Tornado which I thought was interesting, not sure why). He used Curse twice but missed me both times; he did however end up cursing my wyvern which made Healing Breath III cure for about 50-70 less than normal. To summarize, he can hit kind of hard from time to time but it's nothing that Healing Breath III wasn't able to handle. Just watch out for any magic aggro or low HP aggro.
Was a cool fight back when i did it.

Took this guy out with my 66RDM/33WMH. Easy enough fight, just had to concentrate on keeping stoneskin up and to cast baraero whenever he started casting Tornado. Never even saw curse once, thank goodness.
Has quite a high resistance to most enfeebling spells, the only ones I could get to stick with capped enfeebling skill (+ spider torque + AF Body) were slow, poison and Dia/Bio. Dispel didn't work too well either -.- Ended up letting Bio II and Poison II do most of the work and just concentrated on keeping by buffs up and conserving MP.
Originally I was going to try the same method that I used to solo Miser Murphy for RDM AF hat (see RDM forum sticky), but the zone to the Cloister of Frost has some nasty weapon mobs standing right next to it, and the zone to Beaucedine Glacier was too far away for my liking.
Now onto Castle O....

I soloed this at 74 with a white mage. I aborted my first attempt once I realized that he was at half health and I was running out of MP fast, so I escaped out. Second time, built up TP and hit him with a big Hexa Strike, then kept Regen II up and wore him down with Hexa Strike after Hexa Strike, preserving MP to keep myself alive. Blink went up when he did ancient magic, but really, his physical hits did more than any of this spells (go go Magic Defense Bonus!). The one Tornado that got through blink did about 50 damage, and I wasn't even wearing any special armor or anything. When he got low I hit him with a few Banish II's for the kill. Fight took about 30 minutes.
this fight was painfully simple as a blm. I subbed whm, buffed around the corner to avoid magic agro from the pots. When I had stoneskin,blink,protect,and shell up I spawned the nm.

All I did the whole time though was just cast tier IV spells (avoided blizzard since ghosts are strong to it) until I was OOM. Then manafonted, burst II for the win. I never got paraed by his ice spikes...probably got lucky there too.

I solo'd him yesterday as 75WHM/NIN, sadly my NIN is only 32 so I had no NI. :/
I died first 2 times because I made careless mistakes, third time I d/c'd w/ him @ 10% >.<. The last time was good beat him in about 15 min. NI would have made this fight a lot easier. My advice if you want to solo as whm/nin is to keep SS, Haste and Utsusemi up. The only enfeeb that would stick was Slow, thank goodness because it helped.
Bring Holy Water for curse, and change all your Cure, Paralyna, and Haste macros to <me> if you like.(Helped me out alot) In my opinion he is not that hard, but his DEF is high, and those -ga spells are a pain in the ***. I didn't use Hexastrike until he had a little HP left, because I used Starlight to get a little mp back. I find that WS useful now. I did need to 2 hr, had q -ga spell eat through shadows + SS. But I did it, couldn't find anyone to help, never hurts to try to solo, even if you are a WHM. ^^

Took him down smoothly as brd/whm. I just kept double Paeons on me and dia and elegy on him, hit him with spirits within every 300 TP, and erased his bio.
It did take a while because he has a ton of HP and i am a taru bard. I never dropped below 900 HP and didn't run out of MP the whole time, though. His tornadoes were only doing about 30 dmg even with jelly ring on, and he didn't physically hit that hard either.
Some of the pots in the room were EP at 75 so I just pulled him into an adjacent corridor.

We got uber link +1 cause someone didnt reaserch if he was a ghost, we had to try a second time
if there was a fight between misery murphy and this thing who do you think would win? A bst duoed misery for me, lost first time bc didn't no about drain touch, but i seen a bst get owned by this

I just solo'd this guy with a 75 pld/nin, i beat him with 400 hp and 0 mp to spare, thats with shadows up most of the time, this is tough. He hasthe def of an elemental, i was hitting him for 15-30 per hit, and he casts tough magic. if you want to solo him, sub nin and be careful.

I saw a 75 PLD/NIN soloing this guy on the basement floor in the NW corner...
Was wondering is it a forced spawn? or for a quest or sumthin? or does it have any other drops? I notice it was near a Underground Pool thing....so maybe those have sumthin to do with it....
