Message on the Wind  

Summary

Romualdo believes he has heard the voice of his deceased father in Grauberg. He'd like to head there again to find out for sure, but is unable to leave his post...

Walkthrough

In the present, head to the second floor of the Metalworks in Bastok and speak with Romualdo at K-9 in the cannonry. Then go to the past, and speak with Romualdo again at I-7 in Batallia Downs {s}. You should get a cutscene.

Next, head to Grauberg {s} and speak with Childerich at E-12. Then, also in Grauberg, find and check the ??? at J-9 (make sure you check the right one, as another ??? is just east of a nearby gun tower). You'll get another CS from the Galka from earlier. Now return to Childerich for a CS.

Return to Romualdo in Batillia Downs {s} for a final CS and your reward, a Smart Grenade.

To get your quest title, return to Bastok Metalworks in the present and speak to Romauldo again. Then go back to Grauberg and speak with Childerich again. During the ensuing cutscene, choose the option "Message on the Wind."
