The Rider Cometh  

Summary

Ominous rumors circulating among the mercenary ranks speak of Dark Rider sightings deep within the Hazhalm Testing Grounds. Could this occurrence bear any connection to the unsealed spatial distortion? It falls to you to investigate.

Walkthrough

Go to Walahra Temple in Aht Urhgan Whitegate for a cut scene. Next, go to (G-6) in Nashmau and talk to Yoyoroon for a cut scene, after which you will obtain the key item: Message from Yoyoroon. He will not talk to you if you are a Blue Mage. Obtain a Timeworn Talisman by killing Ephramadian Shades in Arrapago Reef or Caedarva Mire. Trade it to Yoyoroon in exchange for the key item: Talisman of the rebel gods. There is a chance that he will reject the Timeworn Talisman making you have to obtain a new one. You can decrease the chance of rejection by trading either a Sutlac, an Irmik Helvasi, or both. If he accepts the talisman, you will get a Talisman of the rebel gods. Return to Walahra Temple for a cut scene and to obtain the Talisman key. Go to Hazhalm Testing Grounds and examine the entry gate for a cut scene. Examine it one more time to enter the battle. If you win, you will get a cutscene where you may choice your reward.

You may not repeat this specific quest, but you can repeat the fight through the quest: Unwavering Resolve.

Battle Details

Up to six people are allowed to participate in the battle. All members of the party who wish to participate in the fight must have a Talisman key. The Talisman key is used upon entry. If you fail the fight, you will have to get another one to try again. TP and buffs stay on when you enter the battlefield and you do lose XP from KO.

The fight is against Odin Prime. He may summon up to Odin Images at a time. After Odin Prime is below 50% HP, he can use Zantetsuken. Avoid it by getting out of range or /kneel.
