In raw damage, that is, not taking resistance into account.

MY Enhancing LIKE 25 AT THIS ADDS 4-6 EXTRA DMG AND THATS NOT BAD.(WELL TO ME CAUSE TO ME DMG IS DMG AND ALITTLE MORE IS STILL GOOD TO ME EVEN IF ITS 1 MORE DMG)

hope they update the "En" spells so if a monster is weak against the element of the "En" spell it does more dmg. I have the first 4 En spells and they all do like 6 dmg additional.. what a waste of like 10k -.-

Okay, here's the deal. I know that two of the "En" spells cast upon yourself at one time will not stack, so I am assuming that an "En" spell will not stack with a weapon that has an innate elemental damage bonus (ex. Fire Sword, Spark Bilbo) Can anyone confirm this? My guess is that they do not, therefore making this line of spells all the more disappointing. *sigh*

Yes, the En-spell overwrites the weapons natural + elemental damage. I've done Enthunder with the Flame Sword, and all I get is Thunder damage.

In between the Fishing and Weaving guild are two vendors standing opposite each other. One sells BLM spells the other sells WHM spells are some RDM spells, including all the EnXXXX spells.

Well i checked Selbina but i didnt find the spell anywhere does someone know where to get the spell besides the AH where it is way over priced.

The enchant series is a very useful tool in a experience chaining group fighting "tough" creatures when you are meleeing. However if your group is fighting ITs, these spells, just like your melee ability, will be pratically useless.

I have to say that, personally, I don't find this line of spells to be worth either the gil to buy it or the mp/time to cast it. They last about two minutes, add a small amount of extra damage to your weapon, you can only cast it on yourself, and rdms are not effective in melee for very long anyway.
As for the amount of damage, this particular spell (Enthunder) adds 0-3 points of damage.

That depends on a few factors. 1 your level of skill in that Enhancing area. 2 How fast your weapon is. 3 How high your Dex is. (this determines how often you hit) This makes for a good RM melee.
Here's a neet combo - Max your Enhancing magic, get a Beestinger, and get some Dex gear. That "proc" should be doing about 5 to 7 damage now and you'll be hitting a hell of a lot more and about 2 to 3 times faster.
Just a thought.

I realise that this is a necro-reply, but for any new players that happens to stumble across this, I figure false information should always be corrected.
DEX most certainly does not affect weapon delay (attack speed). Moreover, no stat does. The only things that increase attack speed are effects such as Haste, the Blood Pact Hastega, Victory March and Advancing March, and Refeuling.

It also depends on the type of monster you are fighting. If they have a high def against Thunder (lightening) that extra damage would be a lot lower if not non-exsistant.
These spells are a good reason to keep your Enhance skill maxed out at all times. My Enhance just hit 100 recently and damage has gone up to 9. Damage on En-spells seems to increase by one, every 20-30 levels of Enhance ( I don't have solid numbers ).
As was explained earlier, the damage done increases with your enhancing skill. at level 41 i can hit for a max of 11 damage with capped enhancing.

well I am 17 just about 18 as i type this , and my enhancing skill is over 20 but still no thunder weapon =(

At 17, your enhance, elemental and heal at least should all be capped, somewhere around 50 i believe
How much extra damag does this do? Or does it do the supremely lame of by adding thunder damage it actually means changes it to thunder damage? Turned 15 recently and looking towards this at 16. Finding that I'm starting to fall behind the real melee class which I was hoping wasn't gonna happen so soon. But if this actually adds some extra damage I should be able to keep up for a few more levels.

ok , so where do i find spells , like this one, i mean i looked in AH not there, and if it was i am sure its runs for about 10k+ like most hard to find spells ( fenrir server ), man i even seen aquaveil ( sold by merchant for 400 or so ) going for 5k in AH, bah!
20 is very low. at level 17 your magic skills should be much higher.
