ok, i must be such a dumbass...
i finished the quest and I got the right tools. Kaginawa why the hell doesn't the spell work? all get is its incorrect or to low. My nin's a lvl25 atm and i cant or I wont lvl it up anymore until I get the spells right ...
Please help!

To make the powder you need 3 manticore hairs (which don't stack) per stack of Kaginawa (3 crafts). Which on Titan is 5k each. And of course 29 Clothcraft and 15 Smithing to have almost no failures.
20k a stack is a very decent price then. 100k is over the top. between 30k and 40k is fair. Depends on the price of Manticore Hair and the number of Clothcrafters on ur server though.
If its worth 300 to 400 gil to slow a mob depends on the situation I guess.

i havent checked ah on fairy yet but we have like one of the worst economies so im guessin bout 150k a stack and all that gil just to slow an enemies attacks down? man to me thats not worth it AT ALL. besides there are spells like u know SLOW TO DO THAT RIGHT??!!

But nin cant cast slow,he can cast this spell. That means you need this,becuase not only does it slow it,it puts that hate on you.

well i just checked the prices today and i saw it... 30k a stack i was thinking biger than it was lol but still im not paying 30k PER STACK thats 99 slows when whm or rdm(i think) can do it for me ^^
They can also tank for you to.
Anyone else find the cost of kaginawa at 20K (Garuda) to be just a little prohibitive? I dont want to use this spell..I'd feel like I am just pissing away gil!

ehh dude i dont know what your talking about, i'd die to have this cost 20k, its up to 100k in bismarck, date is Feb 17th, lets hope it goes down ; ;
I think he's talking about the powder, Kaginawa, being 20k. Not the scroll.

and no the abilities dont stack, i.e. you cast slow twice it will tke one and say "has no affect on <t>" the second time

Ok, I found it after a lot of exploring. It was past the logging point area with a Anemone guarding along with bees. Took a 'visual' right from there then I checked every forum said areas of G6, G7, F7, and finally F8.
I believe I found mine at the top middle of F8

Note about Anemone area: there is a tunnel at its low level that can take you to the tonberries where you don't really want to go just yet ^_~

How do the two spells compare to each other or, better yet, do they stack?
This Quest is giving from Washu in Norg, she gives you a barrell and asks you to go to yohoto jungle and fill it w/opu opu juice from a fermenting tree. Sorry I didn't get the exact location of the tree I was to excited when I found it, but it was very simple, just run around the jungle on chocobo and hit tab till you find a tree that has ???, click on it, fill your barrel up, use ninja 2hr to get to home point which you should set in norg, complete quest and get your scroll!!! Much better then paying the 20k in AH, very easy quest to do if you have the faction.
The spawn for the ??? is random, and apparently can even spawn on shrubs. Best thing to do is just cruise around on a chocobo and target till you find it.
