is it possible to do crowd control with this spell reliably? or is it suicide?
Oh yeah.. this is a lifesaver sometimes.
For instance, you are in palborough mines. You aggro a Quadav, who has to walk around all the obstructions to get to you. In the process, he invites 15 of his best Quadav buddies.
Sleepga the crowd, and poof! You can either pick them off one by one and hope that you can kill them all fast enough, or run like hell!
Also, through experimentation, Sleepga on 1 mob is much more effective (but albeit more dangerous if there are other nearby mobs) than just plain sleep.

My god, you are so right! That is exactly what happened to me! Only I didn't have Sleepga, and I didn't make it out alive. I go and kill a stupid scorpion, figure I'll wait for my MP to restore by resting, and figure I'll be fine, since the highest level here is 25, but NO! I Quadav has to come over for a vistit, but I think nothing of it. Eventually he hits me for 9 damage and I laugh and keep walking. But yes, he has friends, and I'm dead in no time at all when his level 25 friends come along. I start ga-spelling, but it was useless, they had me down in no time. Then I gave up on loooking for Zeid, the Dark Knight Galka. Later on I found out I already was on the 3rd floor, and that he was very close. ; ;

Waag Deeg's Magic Shop of Lower Jeuno. It's in that little lower section down the stairs along with Muckvix's Junk Shop. hard to miss, don't worry.
