this song is worth getting for one reason: it looks cool! tons of purple skulls flying around laughing!
seriously tho, this one can come in handy on rare occasions. having a higher resist to something DOES NOT mean you'll avoid it (though you may once in a very rare while) it does, however, mean it has a shorter duration... this comes in very handy with curse (as opposed to poison).

Hmmm...wonder what would happen if you cast this, then ran through the Mute? in Beadeaux that curses you. Would you only receive half a curse or possible even resist it? Very interesting...

Unless there's an item that specifically prohibits curse, the Afflictor is a guaranteed Curse. This would shorten the duration of the curse.
On a related note if you have this song, you're a level 73 BRD. Level 73 BRD has about a 99% chance of being BRD/WHM unless f'ing around or farming. 73BRD/36WHM has Cursna. See where I'm going with this?

This item is dropped by Yagudo Conductors in Castle Oztroja, its very cheap in AH, and i still have never used it......
