Just another NM i thought that bst's should be aware of that they can solo. Exceptional gear a must, start off with dd pet,shellbuster with Capped BA is awesome, finish with carrie or 2, i've done this /nin and am 2/2, npc helps tons as soothing healer. Fun fight, get ur bst ls together, and kill this guy to get ready for the big boss...... juggy's for everyone!!!!!! Happy hunting ^^

RDM (and probably blm) can solo this with sleep/nuke method. Just keep blink and stoneskin up, and aspir often. Took ~20 minutes because he has a LOT of hp.

This guy is easy we killed all three nm's on hill,but got no drops sept for the gold mask

seen him in exp party today but called overlord bakgodek (hmmm.) all three NMs were on the hill.....scary
That one is the HQ version of the 24hr pop. He spawns according to the same rules as King Behemoth, Niddhog and Aspidochelone. Overlord Bakgodek drops Juggernaut.

ok my brother in law says that that mask is fake on the orc overlord and he says hes seen him, so is it real or not?

Was exping in Monastic Cavern with a full party of 62's (except drk was 61). Setup was pld/war (me), drk/thf, thf/nin, blm/whm, whm/blm, rdm/whm. We were killing all the other stuff and our rdm wanted to fight this and the Hexspinner, they were sitting together. So after we cleared out the room we pulled the Hexspinner, he was fairly easy. Then we pulled this afterwards, and he was not-so-easy. Probably a 10 minute fight or so, I got below 100 HP several times, but mangaged to live. Rdm used chainspell at the end, but that was the only 2 hour used and we killed him. Got Paladin's testimony (which luckily I got), Platinum Beastcoin, and a Gold Orcmask. He liked to use Banish III alot, and I think it was the Overlord (might have been Hexspinner, fought them back-to-back so I don't remember) that casted Aeroga III that really put a hurt on us.

This dude looks so cool. We were exping last night in Mon Cavern and I go to pull and see this guy in the distance and the warlord next to him. I tell my pt and they're all hype about tryin to kill him. We all know that we prob cant kill it but heh we were up for the challenge since we had been pt'ing way too long.
Since it would be impossible to pull without links we got the smn to carby pull him. I thought they were joking since most of your pt was 62 with one 63 I think.
Anyway, I'm sittin by the zone lookin up this guy on here and see the smn come running back and a few seconds later I see the overlord, I thought we were just gonna zone and was taking pics but the pld and sam start beatin on him so I joined in the fun. We missed alot and didnt do much melee dmg but after a few ws and some black magic his health started going down. We got him down to half health and another orc poped and linked and started beating on us too, so we zoned then a few sec later we zoned back in but he was long gone.
So we just called it a night. I think with a good pt of 63 or 64 you can take this guy if you're ready and dont get links.

Well here is the story, Static party was down there lvling off of the orcs and stuff when this guy appeared. i sneaked up being a THF and tried to get a screen shot when he actually said stuff as he attacked me. well i didnt have time to write it down because i was fleeing my a$$ off. well just as we go back down in the zone 3 lvl 75 japaneese players are there clearing out everything to get to it. we ask them if they want to team up and they give the old "thanks for the offer..." so we said ***** it. worse comes to worse we could 2hr chainspell escape out. when they grabbed the last orc in the way i run up and pull him to our camp. This guy was hard to hit and had a crap load of HP. did Banish III and Flash along with cureing himself. but we got 3 distortion skill chains off on him all 3 MBd with Flood and he went down fast. Half way through the fight he did do Invincible but our PLD did it at the same time. Got the sword, plat. beast coin, pld testimony, and gold orc mask. here is a SS durring the fight since his True sight prevented me from getting a better one. we did get 180 XP from the kill.

Please note that there is a difference between a Notorious Monster, which WILL /check as impossible to gauge, and a Named Monster, which will not.
Both are abbriviated NM, and often the terms are interchangable. Usually the only appreciable difference is that Notorious Monsters are impossible to gauge and Named monsters are not.
