Usage | /tell (playername) (message) |
Description | Sends a private message to a player.
In order to receive a tell, the player has to:
- Be in-game.
- Not be changing zones.
- Not have you on his/her blacklist.
- Not have tell filters on.

- It is possible to hear a chime when you receive a tell in game, thereby reducing the number of "missed tells" while afk, etc. To turn this option on, go to the in-game menu's second page, Config -> Chat Filters. Select TELL until you see a music note next to that option. You will then hear a chime each time you receive a tell afterward.
- To quickly reply to people who have sent you tells, hit CTRL-R to bring up the tell command with the name of the last player to send you a tell already filled in. To respond to people who might have sent you earlier tells, continue to hold down CTRL and tap the R key to cycle through a list of names, where applicable.
