Heres a lil info on this guy. Me (75thf37nin) and friend (75whm37blm) just duo'd this guy. I think its a 2-3 hr pop time, lottery from the regular Sabotenders, wasnt all that hard of a fight other than the occasinal 1000 Needles which hurt. It used 1000 Needles 4 times and Needleshot 8 times and Photosynthesis 5 times. No drop >< but plan on takin him on again. Not that bad of a fight other than 1000 needles has a lot of hp. With photosynthesis up the only considerable damage was from Dancing Edge which I was doing 600-900 and whm was doin Hexa Strike for 300+. Well good luck to those who take him on, just beware of 1000 Needles

Me and two others were fighting spiders for Shoalweed. We were very bored and saw this.
We decided to try and kill it.
Blah blah blah 1000 needles dead.
Bano del Sol dropped and no one wanted it so I lotted it. :p
I love the dagger now though. lol
I think it dropped only because none of us had no idea what it dropped. That seems to be the only way things drop first kill.

I've killed this 16 times now, no drop.
I was wondering if anyone has actually gotten the dagger in recent times?

i duoed him a long time ago and got drop first kill sorry your drop rate sux -.-
Solo as lv 69 BST, he was just there when I show up. he only drop water crystal and cactus needle for me.
Anyone have any information on where in kuftal he spawns, respawn time, etc?
He pops in the Guiver room.
How does he use Photosynthesis in a tunnel o.O

Well plant can use photosynthesis in a process called the Dark Reaction aka the calvin cycle it does not produce as much ATP but 34 molacules isnt bad for no light
I just tried to take him on as a 65 BST tonight. Went through a ton of lizards and crabs, and got him down the last sliver, until...

I watched as his HP bar went up a tick every second, until he went from last sliver to about 30-40% health. I gave up when he used it a second time.

Apparently he also drops Mysterious Cactus Bulb

the sabotenders NM always looks like a cactuar, no matter what. I don't know why though ^_^;
. . .or maybe because Sabotender is the original name for cactuars in the (japanese versions of ) Final Fantasy. . .
