Too Easy! I raped this bird easily as 75 WHM with 37 BLM as my subjob! They are easy prey low evasion and barely touched me. I didn't even need to use stoneskin. All I did was use regen III and that is all and melee'd it to death. My question is that it says it has 9 spawns in that desert I only found two in the whole entire desert so I think there might be some hiding in the secret entrance to quicksands and the very bottom of the map. However, 7 spawn points over there I seriously doubt it is that many.

This thing resisted Elemental Seal Sleepga II. I think they are immune to sleep, ><
And yes they do track by scent, or by close rangeness or something. It chased me all the way to Kuftal tunnel, where it slaughtered me, and for some reason it didn't attack the person who was actually attacking/sleeping. I guess it chased me because I was closest? I dunno.

I think there's a mistake on this page. Unless this bird is different than other greater bird types i've fought, it shouldn't track by scent. Hide works on perytons in VoS.

EP to my 75RNG, took it down fairly easy, since RNG's are good vs birds my slugs gave 900-1,1k while melee'ing.

This guy conned EP to me at 74 and he spawns around G-7. Easy fight but he resisted sleep 2 times so I couldn't SATA ~ Savage Blade him. :( 16 xp no drop
EP at lvl 74? that's hard to believe, i'm level 64 and it's EP to me now.

It's been said before but I'll say it again, at higher levels things stay ep for longer than you'd expect. The reason being the see an adventurer and think: Lunch!

Run away? It probably checks even match or less to him.
Just a note: these fellas double- and triple-attack (apparently) frequently. I had to recast Utsusemi two to three times more often than versus any other mob I have faced... oh, and i wasn't the main tank, either. =p
