Historical InformationIn Greek mythology, Mimas was one of the Gigantes, a race of giants that were the sons of the goddess Gaia, fertilized by the blood of the castrated god Uranus. Mimas had serpents for legs and was born fully armoured. During the Gigantomachy, Mimas was defeated in battle by the god Hephaestus.

killed him the other day helping someone with 3-3. Being nin 59, he only hit me about 5 times and he was easier actaully than the normal mobs around there. Hundred fists only hit like 4 times lmao

This guy spawns every 15 mins.. I've camped this area for the last 2 nights and always 15 mins he spawns. I am 0/22 for any sort of drop.
Was running around in Delkfutt's for the hell of it last night (Actually, I was just picking on mobs with my newly aquired Double Slap), and found Mimas just sitting in front of the door. >.> SO I summon Shiva and set her on Mimas...
Shiva's hitting Mimas for 50/60-ish, and Mimas is hitting her back for like 7, heh. Double Slapped for ~530, he pulled out Hundred Fists and got Shiva to about 40%, missed 3 out of 4 swings. Could easily be soloed by a 38+ summoner who keeps their wits about them. ^^

Hanging around Delkfuts I get him easily (I was alone). He used hundred fists and missed me probably every other swing...it really is hilarious watching him go willy-nilly with the axe and miss constantly. Lastly, I got the Axe! *Huge Moth Axe (lvl.39, dmg 59, delay 504, stg +2, war/drk)*
ok 47thf/24nin Funniest **** ever i was helping friend get rank 4 so i see this guy and was like cool a nm so we go kill the rank 4 nm thing and i forgot i had that key in my mog so i couldent get 1 i forgot the way down so i decided to Bloodport and what better way to Bloodport then gettting owned by a nm I didnt know his level. SO i used SA and to my surprise did alot to him so i was like ok i can do this Shadows go up he misses me like crazy i thaught it was because my shadows Wow was i wrong this things ACC sux nuts!!! he used Hundred Fist i was like OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as im wathcing this Giant Axe swing at me non stop i was a bit scared so i used perfext dodge killed him and i got a ............................Lightning crystal /cheer

I think when ever you kill Phoryphrion, Mimas spawns (or is it when you attack him) im not sure but i noticed that pattern >.>

I farm Middle and Upper all the time, and the only people I ever really see up here are gilsellers. The last time I was up there this gilseller (whom by my guess was a DRG50/THF25--she was anon) was the only other person up there. She had the NERVE to ask me for a Cure3. But then when she realized I was here to farm AND camp Enkelados, she started fleeing all around the floor. Enkelados never popped while I was there--I've only actually seen him once. However, we did get a light weather event. I was with my RL WAR45 buddy, and we managed to get one light ele. She got two because I messed up my casting, and she got the jump on one while I was figthing a giant.
Seeing Mimas swing his huge-*** axe around when he uses Hundred Fists is truly hysterical. Of all that crazy swinging, most of them were misses, and several were parry/blocks. Mimas is just a fun NM to kill. Of all the times I've gotten him, he's only dropped his axe once, which is worth about 6k on Asura. Not even worth selling at the AH because an NPC gives the same amount for it.

I was helping my rl buddy(lv22 taru whm) with rank 4 when I had the unexpected encounter with this guy. I was (and still am) a lv66 whm/smn and when I did rank 4 I was like 30ish so I didn't get to fight Promyvion(sp). I didn't know if I could take him on by myself, so I was clearing all other gigas in the room. After that I was resting for full MP for the big fight, and my buddy was resting by the door. Out of nowhere Mimas comes through the door and start pounding the little taru.... he dropped in three hits. While I was laughing my **** off in front of the computer I took him on totally owned him. He did do hundred fists and prob only hit me like twice. Now my club skill is only 150ish so I was killing him rather slowly but he couldn't hit me for life. No drops though.
After that I owned Promyvion as well, his EES didn't even break my stoneskin, but that's off topic^^

I was helping a bst with AF1 today and got to the top and found Mimas. Engaged him and proceded to pound the living crap outta him. His two hour is cool as hell. Nothing quite like a huge *** dude swinging a huge *** axe non-stop. Took about 300-400 hp off of me. Got the axe but was dissapointed as it only sellls for 7k on pandy. Ended up selling it to a npc for 8k.
I use to farm middle and upper delks tower a lot... well, to clear some info up, mimas spawns every 10-12 minutes (it's one or the other, don't remember which) and the moth axe is like a painfully rare drop. I've prolly killed mimas over 50 times (like I said, I used to farm here a lot) and prolly only gotten axe 4 or 5 times. Besides, it's only 10-12k on alexander server (or used to be anyway, haven't checked lately). Hundred fists is annoying, but it isn't too difficult to evade his attacks as thf/nin in upper 50s. After mimas fight, I would usually have HP in the upper 700s. If you just wanna kill a NM, this is an easy one to get cause he spawns so often and only like 1 or 2 people really ever camp him seriously that I've ever seen. He's just not worth the trouble money wise... btw, he spawns right outside the door to Porphyrion's (mission 3-3 NM) room on the 10th floor. When you get there, just wait 10-12 minutes and you'll see him.
I'm killing time for mithra RSE week so I go through Del's tower for fun like I've often done. I arrive at Mimas' spawn area and figure camping him will kill some time. He's not showing up, I decide to pick on a gigas' bats since mob BST don't seem to mind you killing their pets. Well, this one did. He attacked me, as did the gigas behind him. I'm a lv.50 pld so I can take these guys. Then, Mimas spawns. I think "Oh great! Yet again, someone's gonna snatch him while I"m preoccupied." Heh, it was worse. He saw me fighting his buddies and joined in the fray. Now I've got three angry giants trying to beat me to a pulp. Did sentinel - berserk to speed up killing the lesser ones then on to Mimas himself. I was at 3/4 HP and pretty much no magic left. I used invincible to counter his 2hr. I prolly didn't need to but I didn't want to take chances. Finally beat him down, didn't get the drop but at least I made it through.
Oh yeah, isn't hundred fists supposed to last for 30 seconds? He was still wailing on me rapidly long after invincible wore off. What gives?

No Hundred Fists is 45 seconds to a minute, depending on who you ask. I think the difference of opinion arrives from the 15 second warm up period that it takes before attacks get up to full speed.
lmao this NM is so funny i owned him with like 3 hits got the drop waited like 15min and owned him once agian this is a fun NM to hunt cause he pops so often and his hundred fists just looks sick so to those who want to hunt this huge *** NM good luck and kill well.
I was taking this guy up the tower for 3-3 last night, saw him so i ran to my computer to check what level he was i saw level 36.. i was level 50 pld so seemed like a good idea. I get into this fight and he's about halfdead when i see him use 2 hr. Before his 2 hour he had only gotten me from 880hp-760hp. I thought this guy would be using Mighty Strikes or possibly even the DRK 2 hr butI think this guy is some weird monk with a axe cause he uses something like hundred fists... cept with a axe. So after his 2 hour he was still only hitting me fore 14-20 dmg but every half second so by the time he was dead i went from 760hp-450hp on 14dmg hits :/ so yeah this guy is like a werid monk/warrior/hugeass with a axe so i recomend being careful around this guy

if you want to camp Mimas he spawns on the top floor of the tower, right in front of the room with the door. he pops every 20-30 minutes

just killed him, helping ppl get rank 4 and ran into him 1/3 HP, i was like i have TH let me kill it (/16THF), the other actually listened!
so im just hitting for random and he hits for sum little dmg. everyone was saying sumthing and all of a sudden my screen flashes with red letters, i said LOL he just hit me with triple atk!(didnt realize how stupid that sounded til later) then i realize he was hitting me constantly! at one point i was like OOoo..Noooo i jump and jump and penta and i bring this gigas down, still had 200+ hp, got drop, won lot, and with a smile i killed poryphion shortly after.

THIS THING IS HUGE!!!!! I was getting help with 3-3 and we turn the corner and here this huge gigas is giant axe. I am about to scream and run away like a little girl. And the lvl 60DRG that was helping us walks over to it and starts hitting it then the lvl 48WHM decides to do the same. The WHM some how dies and the DRG is just about to win when all the sudden 100 fists! I cast Stoneskin right then. so the DRG used Penta Thrust and killed it it didnt drop anything. I wan amazed. It realy is to big though it was like 3-4 times the size of me ;; i am a large elf. I thought the regular gigas were big.

i happen to run across this guy this weekend. i was 47rdm/17thf. he was pretty easy for the most part. then he went with hundred fist. i had to bind him and move to heal. even with bio II he was hit for decent dmg. i really had to lay him out fast case i got a link.

I was a lvl 53 PLD, going to raise and help a guy with 3-3 for 10K gil, saw this NM and asked linkshell if i could kill it, i could but it would be hard. easy as pie at first.....link...i began to worry, the attacks were landing perfectly on me and i killed the link first then started to pound on the nk once more, another link.... i then was shaking at my keyboard and 2hrd....killed NM and 2nd link almost dead till a 3rd link. killed the 2nd link with 333HP out of 1044HP...then the 3rd link was 3/4 dead till another link appeared...4 links!.... i then told my ls and the guy whop needed my help that i was dead. i had 30HP and the last 2 mobs couldnt hit me. lightning roar did 17 dmg and dropped me to 13 hp the 4th link killed me and not even one drop from any of those mobs ; ; and not to mention my dlvl
Me and my friend were just farming when we saw him, killed him twice first time no drop second time he did drop. the axe is only worth 8-10k on Cerberus but its still fun kickin his *** :D

Saw him a few times, killed him a few times. Socks every drop, it seems, like all the other NM gigas in the tower. No axe yet, but I don't plan on taking my Warrior to 39, so its not a serious concern.
Mostly I just care about Enkelados Bracelets. 100k on gilgamesh server ^_^
