- A widly known BCNM, but I thought I'd post a little something on it -
I got 3 blm's from my Linkshell and headed out.
We used the same strategy as a lot of others.
The second all 3 of you are in the battle field, start runnin for the Center, You have plenty of time to buff when you're in the Aspir phase. Buffs that are on you outside the BCNM fall off when you trade the Orb. Its not like the 2-3 dragon where they stay on.
Phase 1 - I'll take that Mana, Thank you! - Aspir:
1 person (Leader) Elemental Seal: Sleeps - The elemental Seal is for a timer. not necessairly for better sleeping. All 3 mages get into a Triangle around the circle far enough away to not get hit by Paralyzega casted on one another. But close enough to still cast spells on one another. Keep sleep on it at all times. the second it wakes up, somebody should sleep it. (We took turns, which worked really well for the next phase where it gets a little hecktic) Aspir the **** out of him until you have 1:30 - 1:00 left on the timer for Elemental Seal - Keep in mind that all the mana you use in this phase is free mana, cast barparalyza, Aquaveil, Shock Spikes, when you have about 3 minutes remining. That way you're full when the fight begins. and free Aquaveil, Protect, Shock Spikes, etc. ::: NOTE ::: You don't have to suck the SOB dry, trust me. Just get him low enough so he wants to conserve his MP more. He didn't cast Cure 3 once the 5 times we faced him.
Phase 2 - The Fight:
Once you Aspir the last time.
Mage 1 - Bind, Shock, Slow
Mage 2 - Burn, Paralyze
Mage 3 - Choke, Bio
It is now mage 2's turn to watch for Bind, It only lasts about 10-15 seconds each time. and REMEMBER to keep in range of your buddys! Keep him bound as much as possible. Just cast Blizzard, and Water 2 (Our Blizzards were doing about 80 damage, our Water 2's about 120-130)
The little ******* hits you pretty hard, about 60-80 per hit to a gimped blm (about 105 def). Its important to stay in that triangle, move only when he is still in attack range when he is bound. and move INTO the circle, not away. The aggro shifts around a LOT which is really really good, the longer he's moving from person to person the less damage he's doing. which is why its important to be as far away from eachother as possible with still being able to cast at one another.
First time, we lost because we weren't watching the time closly enough (we just started nuking it when we started getting 0 mana from Aspir). Bad idea. Ran out of time
2nd time we had somebody DC on us for about 3 minutes during the Aspir phase and we still managed to beat it.
3rd time it was easier, we got it a bit faster with only a couple close calls.
4th time was a damn walk in the park. We casted at the same times, It looked like a ballet. It was flawless. we beat it in 9:32
5th time I moved away from my buddys to avoid getting attacked by the bound Bitoso, he attacked, aggro didn't shift, and I de-paralyzed myself instead of taking the dice roll and trying to cure myself, I died. we almost still won, but we ran out of MP.
You won't land a silence, so don't even try.

Second to rng/nin, Blm/Whm is almost the best way to get this one knocked out of the park.
I have a Theory. I think it will cast cure 3's if he has 1/5 MP or More so if you can Aspir him down to 1/5th total mana (about 25-30 times), you should be fine.
