I cracked the effect of moon phase on these jew bastards..
worst drop rate......... above 25% below 75% ( between full and new )
best drop rate.......... above 75% ( full )
second best drop rate... below 25% ( new )
Sorry I'm unable to test the drop rate of beastmen seals as I'm to high of a level to get them from these.

Strange the way these Tigers only come in one color.
What about the orange with black stripe tigers.
Or even Lions? That'd be cool.
Hell, throw in a Green tiger with Forest camo or something just for kicks.

I've always thought these looked more like saber-toothed panthers than tigers. I suppose the orange variety would be too realistic a mob?

I'm 24mnk/12war equipped in beetle+1 gear mostly and have lynx B's think I can solo them?
These things make cool BST pets, able to run at mobs faster after being sicced on them and not falling behind when running over hills.

Was going with my fiance to farm boggarts for the drop, (couldnt afford the spell) and he killed on Tiger so i was like ok ^^ you do that, keep em outta my way.
Well i got uber the lag and got seperated from him... I saw a cave up on the side of the hill. I had been attacked by something, cant remeber what. I was healing in this cave, after sneak/deoderizeing past three Tigers.
All of a sudden 2 of them came up and double teamed me.
I used my 2 hour along with all my mp, a third joined in. I got one tiger down to its last drop of HP, but the other 2 were still standing strong and killed me... I didnt get a raise... >< I took a picture of 2 of them walking off and 1 standing over my body... ; ; sad sad day that was...

well, i have been farming these alot, very low drop rate, but still it is easy as a 30 warrior with a ranger sub. You need provoke adn wide scane (or ranged attack) because they will run out of site if you ar't tracking :P

My 26 MNK can take these without breaking a sweat. One out of ten or so are DC, the rest are all easy prey. Combine Focus and Dodge and you can tear through these little kitties.

i can solo these things pretty damn easy with Stoneskin and for the first 150 hp i loose trying to get Stoneskin up when i finally do i cast regen on myself now because of my auto regen i regen 6 hp a tick which is pretty damn nice so anyway i only have alittle bit of trouble with these guyz i dont think i could take on 2 at once tho tarutaru whm31/10nin

The damn things must have a huge aggro range though, because there weren't any tigers on wide scan when I started to heal, and their respawn time can't be less than two minutes.

It aggroed u cuz you were healing. Any aggressive monster will aggro u if your healing even if your are 20-30 levels above u. Just teachem a lesson in who not to disturb during your resting period
I was in Jugner hunting these things for their fangs, killing them pretty easily. After i made my way through the whole forest from the Sauromugue Champaign zone to the La Thiene zone, wide scanning to make sure i got them all, I kill a few orcs, stealing a couple silver beastcoins. Eventually I stop to rest near the edge of the trees at the zone.
After a couple minutes of healing, I notice a tiger running out of the trees straight towards the zone. I assumed it was chasing some low level that had zoned when i wasn't paying attention. But as soon as the thing reaches me, it starts attacking. I killed it pretty easily, but it still bothered me that the thing had aggroed me like that.
I don't know if it linked (even though it says they don't) a while ago when I had been killing the other tigers, and then somehow got lost on its way to me, or what, but I would've seen it on widescan if that was the case. Maybe it spawned and aggroed me from across the forest, despite the fact that I'm 15 levels higher than it.
Either way, I'm too freaked out by it to hunt tiges anymore. They must've put a hit out on me or something.

Not linking, eh? Diaed one that was lurking by the monument I had the Selbina clay for, and wouldn't you know it, another one was right next to it. Both decided to say hi. :P
Dropped both of them (no drops, wah), but it took both Divine/Elemental Seal to do so.
edit: er, title should be "not linking" but I'm an expert at typos. :P

is it possable that the one that you did not "Dia" aggroed you as you were "Dia"ing the other one? just a thought

I was with a group of friends trying to get the stone monument for the quest in Selbina. In the way of the stone monuments were two tigers. We decided ***** it we are good we can take them both if we have to, but when we pulled one the other didn't follow. So from my experience, they don't link.

The Tigers do link, but i think it is by Sight Instead of Sound... Not for sure which.
In junger forest they are lv 22-25... I'm lv 27 and have never been killed by one.
Do you think i could solo no of thse on a taru whm lvl 30? lookin to get the tiger fangs to bring for the repeatable quest in southern sandoria
was killing them at level 22 solo with bst :)

I'll have to see if a lvl 30 mnk/thf can take one down. I'm interested in that ssandorian quest.
a 30 monk will have no problem takine 1, or even 2 at a time, iunless your really badly equiped

no you couldn't. i was farming them at 30 with a rng friend and we were doing ok, but on our own he prob could have taken them (risky) but i deffinatly couldnt have. whm at 30 cant really take easy prey. im hoping once i hit 40 and get holy breastplate, some taru RSE, a holy maul and haste i will be able to take some easy prey and *maybe* a dc.

From my experience, I could get a DC at 30, but as you go higher in lvl, the DC get way deadlier. At 38 a DC Desert Dhalmel can still hit me for 50-100 damage w/o specials, and with stomping you're looking at 150-200 damage at least. My 615 hp is gonna go down the drain real fast.
Altough, you may be able to find a really weak family of mob and beat a DC, but don't bet your life on it.

my LS said u can get land crab meat from the tigers in batallia, so u must b able 2 from these ones, jugner has more craps than Batallia
