neglected weapon's. I lvled axe from 22 to 63 in 3 hrs. Was using War lvl 32 with nin sub so dual wield is a miracoulous thing here. I was wasting time chastising friend who could'nt lvl axe.

Thunder elementals
# Nov 25 2005 at 4:09 PM Rating: Decent
I used to farm lightning clusters here pretty succesfully. However the last 2 times I've been there I didn't see one thunder storm. Does anyone know if they took thunder elementals out of this area? Or have I just been having a run of bad luck?

I've farmed here before and 40+ is the best lvl to start farming here.

What to kill:
Flytraps(If you want to)
Elements(Water spawn around the water and thunder spawn around each little section)

Its easy and fast money in the center of the map there is a place where 6 tigers spawn in a small area its very good to farm. The mushroom guys aggro so be careful.

Happy farming everyone!

Just went through this zone first time for fun (didn't know it existed, actually....).

Caught Dark Bass and Shining Trout with my Sinking Minnow. I used both my Hume fishing rod and my Composite. no clue what else can be caught here, though.

Fishing Guild NPC?

Wow is it really fustrating to fish currently in this area, Carpenter's Landing. No Fishing Guild NPC's whatsoever to sell off your extra bunk fish to clear up your inventory. The carpenter NPC won't obviously take them. So you have to run totally out of your way to either Selbina, Jeuno, or Sandy. I'm sending a sudgestion to SE through POL that they should add a Fishing Guild NPC in Carpenter's Landing... because this is silly. Especially when the Fishing Guild tells you, for guild points, to get a fish that you find can only fish in this area.

For a lvl 30 pld is there anything here worth farming? I was thinking flytrap leaves but those don't stack. Any ideas, or is this just a woodworker's funland

Does anyone have a clue as to whether or not a lvl 30 thief would be safe killing monsters here for the "Teak me to the Stars" quest?
# Mar 06 2005 at 2:12 AM Rating: Decent
There is a ??? around F9 of the map and I was wondering if anyone knows if this a spawn point or what this is for. Was farming in here and saw this but nothing happens if I click on it. If anyone knows if there is something to trade to it or if this is even worth fooling with any info would be appreciated.
RE: ???
# Aug 04 2005 at 2:16 PM Rating: Decent
There is also a ??? at I-11 in the tunnel near the south landing. If you trade a sleepshroom, woozyshroom and danceshroom to it then it spawns a mycophile (Shroom NM that drops mycophile cuffs.)

I know there's at least one ??? in carpenter's landing, but i'm not sure of the pos. It spawns a Malboro NM for an early CoP quest. I don't remember all the details of the quest, or rather mission, but it's the one where you have to go to all 3 nations, get cutscenes etc., then fight NM's. Lioumere is the antlion NM for the Windy portion, which involves the 3 tarus looking for their dad. This Malboro NM is for the Sandy portion. Now that I think about it, I believe this was the mission for unlocking Promyvion Vahzl. Details are likely elsewhere on alla.
Garuda Server;
Mithra; 75war,thf,bst,rdm(retired), 70drg, 66rng,nin, 62mnk, 51pld, 42drk, 40cor, 37smn,sam,blm,whm,dnc,brd,sch,blu,pup
Taru; 32dnc, 30war, 26nin, 19mnk, 16thf, 16drk, 10whm, 10rng, 8bst, 8blm

If it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?
RE: ???
# Jun 22 2005 at 10:38 AM Rating: Decent
The Malboro is spawned by talking to an NPC elvaan, not a "???." But there is a "???" in the Landing that spawns tonberries for a quest. The "???" is at the Orctrap spawn.

During the updating of Feb 23, 2004 the barge schedule was revised so it will always has a departure soon after it arrives so fishers can keep taking the barge. They also sell a 10 trip ticket at for 300gil. For some arrivals the barge arrives, then goes out of service and floats away nearby for a short time, then returns to the dock for boarding. The barge runs on a 24 Vana'diel hour schedule and these times hours and minutes of the Vana'diel clock.

South Landing to Central Landing via Emfea Waterway
0:15 board
0:50 depart
4:35 arrive

Central Landing to South Landing via Newtpool
4:35 board
5:10 depart
8:55 arrive

South Landing to North Landing
9:35 board
10:10 depart
16:00 arrive

North Landing to Central Landing
16:45 board

The zone is in North Sandy in Laborman's Way (I believe around F-5). If you're on the ground level heading toward Port Sandy, the door will be on the right-hand side. It looks a bit like a big garage door... :)
