eat yag drinks and rolanberry pie. buff up, then rest up... whm and blm stay out of beetles aga spells...whm elemental seal + sleep Pilwiz while blm casts barstonra then fight begins. water 2 works well dont overnuke and melee with provoke attacks bison. eventually Pilwiz will wake up and blm elemental seal sleep him again. Macro works great for this. Bison should be dead before Philwiz wakes up... if sytill asleep use the time to rest up.... thats it...
Id recommend some hi potions for melee... but all in all the fight is pretty easy.... hold record on pheonix server done it a few times no worries

Hmmm i dont understand, how can a Beetle have the job of a Samurai? Am i reading this wrong?
can this one be charmed to fight the other?

Me and a few LS friends took this BCNM on. We were 3/4, only time we had trouble was when my good friend took 200+ points of damage. Our party setup was, for the first 3 attempts (2/3)

Since that my friend switched his ninja subjob since stonega pretty much renders utsusemi useless. We tried sleepbolts, but those dont work too well. We set record first time, and beat our record second time. It was fairly challenging, but since we did it with a not so ideal setup if you bring the right gear or items and prep up well you should have not many problems, even taking on both beetles at once. Unfortunately, we went 0/4 on drops, got a whole lot of crap, so we're done with this one, maybe try creeping doom. Hopefully this'll help anybody considering going after this BCNM.

ive tried lev 40s , 20s , over 10 times
this is the first time tried a bcnm with Ranger my new job :P me and two blm/whm , wooped these little bugs in 7 minutes , and we got a Magicians earing , we had no clue what the drops were or how much it was worth , earing sold for over 280k on titan , :) just elemental seal + sleep the mage beetle , then have ranger barrage and attack the other , blms nuke and get ready to resleep if needed . easy with rng and two blms .

I did this awhile back. Me BLM/WHM a PLD/WAR and a RDM/BLM. Plan WAS to have RDM sleep and heal, and if his sleep didnt stick I would sleep, PLD would occupy bisan and me and the PLD would take bisan out. This is how it actually happened : we buff up, barstonra, shellra etc and rdm goes to sleep pilwitz. RDM's sleep does not stick and pilwitz attacks him - SO I go elemental + seal and sleep which holds and we turn on bisan. Unfortuantly pilwitz wakes up fairly early and proceeds to spam stonega 2 on us. It hit for around 150+ with barstonra and shellra up. Pilwitz finished off the RDM, I ask the pld to invincible so i can heal him - then pilwitz stonega 2's and we both drop. All in all we only took bisan down to half hp. From my beating id gather u need to be able to keep pilwitz slept otherwise they will rip you apart between bisans strong physical attacks and pilwitzs stonega 2 and spells. I think u'd also need a capped enfeeble skill to effectivly put pilwitz to sleep.
Today me and two friends went in there to fight these buggers we had a BLM, DRK, and RDM(me) and we got our asses handed to us in a doggy bag.

Myself (RNG/NIN), a DRG/THF and WHM/BLM beat this pair.
They dropped crap, all of it sold for less than 3k.
But we still hold the quickest clear time on Siren.

yeah u can tell which is which
This is a BCNM. Beetles are named Pilwiz and Bisan. I don't remember which, but one of the beetles is color black. Hope this helps.
