Ok, here is my two cents. I usually camp against these two named refsomething and nyuwhatever. They use 3rd party obviously but i have found a strategy that works most of the time. I think that the way their program works is that they will go immediately to the mob that pops after a set amount of time from the time that the mob dies. They always make a beeline for the mob from their place on the bridge that ive seen. What i do is i plot all the points that the mob will pop or can pop in and position myself to the side of the camper (or campers) where the majority of the spawn points are. From there i flee right before the mob will pop and put my cursor on the gilseller. Since they go straight for the mob, u just go the way that they are heading and chances are that the NM will be chilling right there. So basically, once u r on the right track using them, u will just have to spam ur claim macro when in proximity and u should b good for the claim. ~{See you again!}
But the gilseller is one step ahead of you, most likely has Flee, knows exactly where he is going, and probably has the same claim macro as you. Good luck getting either this guy or Mee Deggi on Kujata. 5 gilsellers run back and forth all day and they know about the 5:07 spawn time.

i wuz a thf48 when i got claim anywayz i wuz looking for quu domi he ppoped i got claim he uses 2hr then he disappears after that i saw him appear all the way across the room where the Gil sellers r >.> they quickly got claim and got drop ><

they only have 1 place holder in each room. and they usually spawn within 1-1:15 minutes.
so from what i have seen the place holder spawns every 12:11 sec after t.o.d of other PH.
so on average u will have to kill 4 PH and the 5th on to spawn would be the NM.
it isnt hard to beat the gil sellers to these NM.
there is 1 party of 2 on my server <mendger & luchking>, they claim alot of em but i find they suck since they use a packet sniffer to know when NM spawns but they only get maybe 3 out of 5 spawns. with that program they should get every spawn every time lol

well thanks to the guy saidabout placeholder guide (qiusatza) but i think i kill the place holder but the spawn was les than 12 mins then i kill an oracle that movere erradic and he spawn evry 12mins like you said but the nm never pop only the dmn oracle over and over i never see he walk in to water but the thing is that the dmn campers kill all yags and i can see the movement of the mobs to see who is the placeholder any help can you give in this is good:)

I followed what everyone suggested so far. I was successfully nabbing every placeholder pop, but Quu Domi the Gallant wouldn't pop. An ex-linkshell member entered, and I figured, "Great.. another hunter." I watched them kill a Meat Maggot and as soon as they ran off, I went to target the ls ex-member, and targeted Quu Domi instead!
Either way, I cast Dia asap, but it faailed to respond, so I unleashed my Knight's Sword on his feathered torso, and engaged. By know I have enough quarts of adreniline pumping through my body than Spook has campers. After it used Mijin Gakure on me, and got back up, I sliced it down and recieved my second Strider Sword I ever got from this guy. >< Either way, whatever that stratagy was worked; Kill the water walking bird, and no it's not an Interrigator. Hopefully I'll get those Kyahan someday... I could use it for guild funding or Goldsmithing. ^_^

But apparently that's not quite right o_O
I was camping him today with my friend, waited for the placeholder after 5 hours... Saw an Oracle spawn, and go into the water. So I thought that must be the placeholder, kill it, and go back up the top to wait. then a minute later. I see gilsellers fighting Quu over the other side of the room <_<
So... apparently either there's more than one Placeholder, or not only the placeholders go on the water, or something like that...
Oh yeah, and as for his 2 hour, that just made me laugh. He used Mijin Gakure, exploded... and stayed there o_O so much for suicide. He doesn't die, doesn't dissapear, doesn't go unclaimed, doesn't appear somewhere else, nothing like that. He just does a bit of damage and keeps attacking.

for quu domi the gallant, an interragator is the only thing that can not be the placeholder. the fact that an oracle walked into the water is normal. standing on the platform facing the ramp and back wall, there is a pond to the right. an oracle or herald will always be walking around this pond. he walks in the small pond and slightly out into the water. this is normal, and he is not the placeholder. if there are 2 yagudo other than the interragator in that corner, then one of them is the placeholder. i will make a map eventually listing the exact placements of the yagudo that belong there, and where they walk so everyone will know which one is out of place. also, if you camped him for 5 hours with no spawn, you werent killing the right placeholder :) he will never spawn more than 3 hours after his last death (if the placeholder is killed).
also, anyone on Siren server that wants a linkshell dedicated to kicking gil seller butt, /tell me in game :)

If he's like the punisher NM dude nearby then his place holder will never be an oracle thus the reason you were beaten to the pop. I have camped Punisher for a few days and i notcied as well that Oracles walk in the water but if you look close at the other mobs, other than his placeholder, they will not (or at least they will keep one foot out of the water and most of the time turn around when they come to the water). Oracles seem to have an odd type of movement similar to the placeholders thus further fueling my guess to this guy having the same pop as the Punisher. If this proves to be true go after any yagado that walks in the water or if that takes to long watch for a mob to walk in an odd manor (not in the normal semi circle then straight type pattern that most do) other than an Oracle. I have heard that these two NM's have the exact same pop patterns and if that is true this technique will allow for a good read on when he is going to pop and excellent result if you ever (oh my god) find the place not camped. Give it a try you might be happy with the results. Hope this helps.

place holders walk into the water, sometimes they walk far enough in to stand near the middle part (if for some reason the gil sellers don't claim it before then ...), where you see people standing and waiting. what you're talking about is the mob stands on the edge of it, but never actually walks -into- the water.
apparently, he used to use his 2 hour, die, and then re-pop somewhere else. well now when he uses his 2 hour, he "dies" then just gets right back up. so dont worry bout saving tp. cuz he won't go unclaimed.

Em i got this fella today and i'm a lvl58 Thf. Everyone is saying to kill him before his 2hr......all it did to me was 26dmg and he had a good 1/4 hp left. he's not that hard just his ninja spells are annoying.

i didn't find it in oztroja, someone could tell me where is exactly?
From the first map, take the north path and you will come across Mee Deggi Punisher (Ochiudo's Kote) NM spawn area. He can spawn in the entire bottom level of the court yard.

Ok, i have spent 3 weeks camping this guy and Mee Deggi the Punisher. On my server, we have an over abundance of gil sellers... its insane. BUT i have figgured out exactly how they know when to flee and when he is going to spawn.. naturally, i hate gil sellers, so will tell everyone in the world how to beat them to all the nm's that they camp that i have learned so far.
Fisrt off, this guy has ONE placeholder. It can either be a Yagudo Oracle, Yagudo Drummer, or Yagudo Herald.... It will NEVER be an Interragator. So, what does this help, since there are lots of yagudo's running around. If you seriously want to camp him, just hang out at the top and watch all of the yagudo's movements. One will move all over the place and walk where ever he pleases. It's easy to spot him when he walks up the front of the platform, since no other yagudo in the area move in that same fasion. Also, if he's not walking up the tower at the exact second (which he rarely has a chance to when im there, so i dont know his exact movements), you can spot him by the area he walks in. All of the yagudo in the area walk in pretty much a circle. The one yagudo that is the placeholder will not walk in a circle, rather erradic movements that follow no pattern, and he wanders all over the place. I'm sorry i cant explain it more, you would have to be with me to see what im talking about..
Next.. the spawn interval. Once you find the single placeholder for this nm, you have to kill him of course. So, how do you know when the placeholder or Quu Domi will spawn next? You have to take the game time (/clock) the exact second you kill the placeholder.. then you add 5:07 (5 hours 7 minues game time or 12 minutes 11 seconds real time) to the exact game time that his name turns grey(death). so, if you killed the placeholder at 2:08 game time, the next possible time that either Quu Domi the Gallant, or his placeholder will spawn will be 7:15 on the game clock.
It helps to kill all the yagudo in the area after you've determined which is the placeholder.. but wait a minute after you have killed the placeholder to kill the rest of the yagudo so you know exactly which is the placeholder when it spawns. The times that yagudo spawn does not vary, and since hes a lottery pop on that one placeholder, this will give you a HUGE advantage knowing exactly when it could possibly spawn.
Another thing is the gil sellers... well, cant do anything about them, and they all use this exact method if they are in castle oztroja camping mee deggi or quu domi. theres nothing you can do about this unless you want to invest insane ammounts of time to having them banned (like me).. and chances are, if you see them there, they have already killed the placeholder.. BUT, when they flee (if they have flee) they will all (if theres more than 1.. most of the time there is) jump on one yagudo and kill it as fast as possible. that yagudo will most likely be the placeholder, because they wont waste flee for anything.
this guide also holds true to mee deggi, which is why im going to simply paste it there as well, with a few modifications to the possible's that it is.

so iv been farming this guy for 3 days 0/8 on him 9 is my favorit number so i was looking forward to killing this guy for my 9th time so here i am all alone killing the place holders for past hour and he pops! then in like the flash of a second some prick blm comes out of no where and claims it befor me and ofcourse what drops the damn fuma's >< 3 days without him droping a thing i feel like i just wasted 3 days of my life for nothing ><

Last ive checked Ochiudo's Kote are now 1.5 Million on the Diabolos Serever and Fuma are around 600-700k so... ya, i tried looking for this guy after missin Mee deggi but was confused and didnt know where i was going and went in circles and stuff lol

can someone confirm if or if not this nm spawns in the same area as mee deggi, ive been lead to believe this but i've also seen evidence that is not so >.>

well i'm 0/4 on this guy. 5 hours of Mee Deggi camping with no spawn and 4 strider swords. He tried to use Mijin Gakure every time, but he never had enough HP left not to be killed first. Vorpal blade kills his Mijin Gakure quite well
this NM is annoying. camped this bad boy for 2 hours he pop behind me, claimed it easy.. he was down to 1/8 HP the he used 2hr majin gakure. he then pop 30-40 sec later, on the other side of the island!!!!! some wondering guy doing mission who level 40 claimed him with 1/8 HP. he killed it but no drop, still yet im pissed i did all the work and waiting, i deserved that kill at least.

Apparently now (more so than pre-patch, due to increase pop radius) Quu Domi will be left unclaimed after he uses his 2hr (mijin gakure).
I, unfortunately, can verify this after i have made countless claims on the Gallant. I have seen a *couple* times where Quu Domi would pop relatively close to his suicide point and would remain claimed. But approximately 90% of the time (in my case 100% of the time) he would re-spawn too far out of sight causing you to lose claim and potential drop.
SO WARNING TO YOU ALL CAMPING THIS NM~!
After 2 times losing claim, i have found (pretty obvious) ways to not lose claim on him. Only works if you are relatively higher lvl than the NM.
1) If you are melee, build tp to 300%. Wait until Quu Domi is near death and use all your attk boosting ability. Soon as he unleashes Mijin Gakure, use your most damaging WS.
2) If you are a mage, build tp to 300%. Wait until Quu Domi is near death and use your most damaging offensive spell. Immediately follow it up with your most damaging WS.
3) Bring many friends ; ;
4) Wait until Gil-seller claim it and steal from him XD
Hopefully if your lucky enough, your WS will kill Quu Domi as he gets off Mijin Gakure.
I was lvl 57 Rdm when I camped it and I used blizzard II --> 300% tp Burning blade. Hope it helps...happy huntin~!

I just recently was able to claim him from two dragoon's that are always there. I knew that it use the ninja 2 hour, but I didn't realize that he pops back up anywhere and unclaimed. Therefore I lost my claim and saw the two dragoon's claim it an kill the NM. Now my problem is if this is the normal situation what is the point of even being the first to claim it? Has anyone else had this problem or is this another SE ***** up as a result of the Dec 8th update?
(/sigh) Yeah, this happened to me twice a couple nights ago. Apparently just after he 2hrs he only remais claimed for a very short time. The 2 times I fought him he respawned far enough away from me after his 2hr, that he was outside of provoke/charm range and quickly went yellow. Needless to say, anther camper quickly grabs him and one-shots the last sliver of health remaining.
This may be related to the fact that since he now spawns on the gound level rather than the platform, there's just a larger area available within which he can reappear after Mijin. One would think that he should stay red long enough so that the original claimer has a reasonable time period to re-engage.
Anyway it would seem that new strategies for fighting him would have to involve saving TP/MP to kill him quickly enough when he's low on hitpoints so that he doesnt get a chance to use his 2hr. Good luck.

this happened to me last night, claimed Quu Domi and we have a pair of drgs always there. Long story short I lost him after Mijin Gakure and the drg promptly voked him. /sigh
But on the brighter side my party was kicking their butts on Mee Deggi claims but alas not a single drop, 0/6 past 2 days.

No I'm not making it up. If the Dragoon's had not killed the NM after they claimed it, I could have died since I still had all the hate and could not fight back since I could not engage it. I called a GM right after this happened. They also said they had never heard of this happening to anyone but it happened to me. Has anyone fought it since the update? Just wondering if they messed up since it's spawn any where in the area now instead of just the platform. I wouldn't make this up since I was pissed, I could have gotten the drop which resulted in me having a pretty bad Final Fantasy day!

actually, it also happened to me, but luckily, not for this NM... it was Juu Duzu The Whirlwind... i lost the claim, but since the nm drop nothing real good, no one was there to steal it =^-^=
it depend mostly on how far he repop... sometime, he is closer, you wont lost it then, but it happened to me twice that he respawned on the edge of my sight... and it was unclaimed

There is a known bug which causes you to lose claim on a monster you are fighting.
It happend to me when i was fighting Mee Deggi the Punisher. I voked it, drew out my sword, hit it a few times. Then while i was casting AeroII (3 sec cast time?), i lost claim on it eventhough I did not disengage/losehate or whatever.
Of course I lost the claim..and the drop to some random guy who was watching me fight it. /sigh

i say theres an easy solution.. when he mijik Gakure, he stays dead, us ninja dont repop with little health when we use it... and it isnt quite fair wehn you DO work so hard for that first voke... (my friends camp it constantly for me because i just hit 40 nin)
Unlike PCcontrolled ninjas, when an NM used Mjinn Gakure, it still lives.

Hey, I want the sword from this guy. It would really come in handy with my rng and thf. I dont care about the boots. Shizzle if someone can help me get the sword but we get the boots, they can have it. I got lost so many times trying to get to this specific area. Anyone have some directions to reach there?

We gave a linkpearl to a gilseller once just for fun, he spent 24/7 here camping this guy and the other NM in the area. He even helped someone in my ls get the item he needed ^_^
Well, he spent so much time there camping this guy that a GM came up to him and told him that he was spending too much in Oztroja and would have to leave or else be put in GM jail.
Needless to say, about three days later, he was back here camping this guy for more kyahan.
Note: I do not approve of gilselling activity that this guy did. I did not give him the pearl.
