I hate these crabs for the simple fact that they arent RED like their name suggests they would be. T_T
Yes, they were the Dot Hack enforcers. Funny thing about that was i did my last two promys this week with the help of a player named Sukasa (same as on of the main char's in Dot Hack) who said he's done it 192 time, i believe him too he's really really good at it. After i got here he took me around got me my map and started me on my next mission. Just thought. Crimson Knights, Sukasa.. what next?
.Hack was the first thing in my mind when I saw those crabs the first time as well, although I suspect that it has more to do with them being RDMs. Bloody Coffin sure is ;)
FF XI has more little hints at other games. Erudite headband, for instance, is a HQ of cotton headband... but all other cotton HQs are called 'great'... Erudites are a race in Everquest, with INT being one of their better stats.

Well, also "erudite" means "learned"...So I think it's more likely that both games used that word as inspiration.

well, i was in Lufaise Meadows as a 45THF and the one i checked was EP low evasion (thf attack = meh) so could very well be 38-39?

Hmm.. as a 45 SMN these checked EP to me, i was able to solo them easily, Ramuh BP >> Thunder II, did ~200 dmg to them each time. i'd say they are around Lv 40 or so in misareaux coast

Anyone have a level range for these things? Sounds like a great mob to level off of in the 30s, wherever the mobs level lies.

It seems that the Misareaux Coast ones are higher than the Lufaise Meadows ones. I was going Phomiuna Aqueducts yesterday and I entered the Safehold through there, and I checked one with Amai's 42 whm...still IT. Maybe a good leveling mob from 40-43 or 44 ish...The pugils were still IT too, so maybe either could be pulled ^^;

Crimson Knights were also a Server-protection group in "Dot Hack//Sign" Sorta like GMs but no Special powers, like the ability to Delete Characters.
