Soloed one of these last night as a BST/WHM 30/15, along with my trusty CrabFamiliar.
Conned as EP low, but hits way harder than that so watch it. It used a Silence TP move, and some kind of Fire AoE move (gob bomb-like, not nice at all).
Dropped a Recollection of Guilt, and a Radiant Memory. The Recollection is why I was there in the first place ^^.

its called Shade gear but the Effect is "Empty Killer"
This mob has an AOE that has the effect of Silencega. If you're engaging one of these, keep your distance.

i solo`d 1 of these as my 30 war / 11 whm and it was a decent challenge but i beat it got some good xp and drops ^^ im so happy for myself
Ya gotta love a pic that has Fenrir, Leviathan, Pikko, AND a cool-looking mob all on the same screen. ^_^

Look at the Shade set. It has an attribute called "Empty Killer".

I know this is kind of obvious, But this mob Belongs in the Shade Family, seeing as I have the shades set, and whenever I hit on of these guys, I do more damage, and occasionally when one attacks me, its "Intimadated by my Presance". Just thought I would say that, and

umm thats because the shade set gives empty killer it doesn't give "shade killer"
