I just solo'd one of these as a THF75/NIN37, and yes, I'm a taru. 143XP, but no organ drop, and I have TH4. It left me with about 1/2 life after a couple TP moves, but not a big deal though.
Not sure about the higher tier Phuabo, but i've seen the lower tier "Ul'phuabo" drop two NQ organs at the same time. I couldn't believe it since the drop rate for just one can be pretty bad.

i was soloing these as whm/nin pretty easy just LONG getting about 140 xp per kill was fun the first few kills but got boring fast 20 minute fights :/
I soloed a lot of these as DRK/SAM, they take a lot out of u but are safer than Aerns cuz no RR
strat is pretty simple, pop dread spikes then hasso and aggro it, medi first is good if its the first one of the nite and u have no TP, once spikes is down pop seigan and finish the fight, i usually finish over half HP and rest until dread spikes recast and Drain II recast are back, or close on Drain II cuz i usually have seigan up when i cast it and the recast gets killed

these things do look pretty cool they kinda look like the monsters from the final fantasy movie but blue and solid looking idk but these are cool stuff
A Blm or a Rdm can solo these. The strategy is exactly the same as farming elementals in Sky. These even have MP you can Aspir.
I'm sure a Bst can solo these as well.
The Ul'phuabo hang out towards the southern end of Al'Taieu. The Om'Phuabo hang out towards the northwest and northeaast sides of Al'Taieu. The Om'Phuabo seem to hang out in pairs, but do swim away from each other.
The Ul'phuabo are EM to T (to a level 75) and give 110 to ~165 xp when soloed. The Om'phuabo are T to VT (to a level 75) and give ~165 to 300 xp when soloed. Either can be killed in about 6 Thunder4 spells (which, for an Elvaan Blm, does about 1050 damage)
Organ drop rate is pretty bad.. maybe 1 in 20+. Tissue drop rate seem even worse.. maybe 1 in 30+. ...but I haven't been keeping careful track of the drop rate.
These also seem pretty "blind" then you're hunting them. I have to practically step on them before they would pop up out of the water.

Don't forget about Ninja solo'ing these things ^^. I just did 2 of them last night. Both con Tough to me as 75, but thye are pretty weak.
Blind as hell to when they are attacking you. If you stick Blind, SLow, and Paralyze on them you don't ever get hit.
Takes a while to solo but give good XP for a solo'er. I think I got 140 and 175 respectively from the 2 I did. No drops though ><

Holy crap, that's a beautiful monster. I'd be reluctant to kill it, though it would kick my *** at my level.
