Sat around for Panzer today... First time goin after him... no ones around.... he spawns i Chi Blast it just incase... Beat him down no prob and Guess Who Pops.. Chariotbuster Byakzak got the Xip and im good to go 1/1

Went 1/7 finally today.
0/4 last weekend, and 1/3 last night.
Seems to pop on the upper part(north) side of that first open area.

I killed him today an got my sword, it was the 3rd panzer id fought over a couple of days leveling up there so im happy. ^^

Byakzak spawns from orcish panzer when you kill it. Panzer is a war machine and when you kill it another orc always comes out of it its usualy a fighter but Byakzak has a chance of spawning. I camped it 14 times before Byakzak spawned and after fighting panzer and Byakzak I had 81 hp left with 30WAR/MNK was kinda close we both mighty striked. If you kill Byakzak then the sword is 100% drop. I used sword until lvl 30 with PLD.

apparently the sword drop is 100% since it can take hours to pop this guy.

Was in Ghelsba Fort PLing a freind and decided to see if the Orcish Panzer was there. Got to the spot saw him and killed very easyly as a 53WHM. Chariotbuster spawned got him first try ^^ yay

i was camping this stupid orc for about 16 hours all for nothing, i killed 15 Panzers (0/0 ;.;) and i never mess with Hajwaj cause he doesnt have anything worth while, i had to quit cause FFXI performed their now almost daily maitenance 18 hours long....*sigh* but ill be back at 4:00AM sharp to bust that moron up

I was traveling through the Fort the other day when i noticed Panzer. So i decided to take a look & slap him around a bit. He went down easy, but then i noticed an Orcish Fighter, weird, because they usually dont spawn at that part in the Fort..i killed him anyway. an hour passes Panzer spawns, kill, another hour & he spawns again & i start hitting it...meanwhile its massive frame is blocking my view of the other NM that spawned with it...so Chariotbuster Byakzak links with Panzer & a Stonechucker to start whooping my lvl 30 thf ***...Panzer dies, then the Stonechucker & i am in deep red while Byakzak is unharmed, i hit my 2 hour & start to slowly widdle down his health, i get him to under a 3rd of his hp when Perfect Dodge wears off & he owns me...i need to have my revenge! but anyway...watch out for them linking...its a very very bad thing

Can someone tell me where the NM that drops the nice sword pops after killing Panzer? i have no clue.

It pops right next to where Panzer pops & where the Orcish Fighter would pop...same area...so close that if panzer is still around Chariotbuster will link with it
Been camping this guy for hours, now he finally spawned. It was a Watersday at around 13:00. I killed the nearby Flamethrower and the Orcs around the place before engaging the Panzer.
Maybe a requirement to spawn Byakzak is to be in yellow HP? Because that was the time he spawned on me. I'm 1/11 now. ^ - ^

Looking at the above posts, I must be very unlucky. I've killed Orcish Panzer 6 times in succession today, and Chariot Byakzak never spawned. I hope he does eventually...I want to teach him a lesson about being punctual when people are looking for him. ;)

I wen't to the fort, and killed Panzer 2 times in a row, and Byakzak spawned after the second kill, got the sword as well.
I've killed Orcish Panzer 3 times and each time he gave me an Orcish Fighter. The only good thing is that the three Orcish Fighters dropped Cathedral Tapestry, Red Cryptex, and Ghelsba Chest Key (I'm from Sandy so I can use the RC).
EDIT: I've now killed him 8 times, still havent seen this guy.

Has a *chance* to spawn immediately after defeating the Orcish Panzer NM, and if he does he spawns claimed by whomever killed the Panzer. Think of it as a two-part NM. :P
Has roughly 1200 HP, and will use Mighty Strikes. I walked all over him with my level 61 BLM... got the drop too, but I've gotten all of the new rare/ex NM goodies on the first kill so maybe the drop-rate has been set extremely high.

Well, yeah, considering most of the items are rare/ex.. a higher drop rate is highly possible.
