Silly Kush, must you be everywhere i go, lol. The drop rate of this thing sux, currently 0-2, killed tues and thurs night time of death was within 3hrs of each other so i don't know if the 21hr thing is true, might be, somebody may not have killed it quickly wed. Drop rate of trickster sux too btw.

Anyone know if the 21 hour spawn time is real hours or game hours? Or if this is even true?
Everyone keeps posting these LOVELY posts about how they beat it, but everyone fails to post the pos and time they saw it. Very helpful.

I ran into this today and it turns out that it is VERY resistant to magic, Sleep II didn't go off once nor did any of my other enfeebles and I am rdm 67 with enfeebling magic 251 (+hat and other stuff which increases cap.) So just a warning to you all who want to go sleep nuke this.

Came across this guy by accident today. Was "thunder" weather and was busy killing a thunder elemental right at the path that leads to where the Kraken guards the "Night Flowers" for the beastmaster quest. Anyways finished off the elemental than noticed something out of place against the cliff wall, highlighted it and it was the tree. It was nightime btw, approx. 23:00 when I noticed the tree. As for pos, it was just sitting against the cliff wall right above the path to the "Night Flowers" and Kraken. Hope that helps.

I just realized, the legend of the raikiri and chidori katanas goes along with this mob.

I killed it pretty easy. First I charmed a nearby crab to test its mite.
My crab went down pretty fast so I charmed a leech. Leech lasted longer so I decided to SA on it for 80DMG. It started hitting me for 100-109DMG. I just kept throwing leeches at it to fight and when it go down to to 20%, I called a Carrie to take it out. Carrie hit for like 79+ on it and , of course, tanked better than the leeches. I SA'd it... Carrie hit.. it died.
Got 31EXP and no drop.

I was wandering aimlessly when I ran across this tree . I was PLD/THF 61/19
I beat this thing rather senseless. It hit for about 200 hp Total fight lasted about 5 minutes and I got the drop.
The fight was at night so no regen :D

ok i know people have posted its spawn time and location and everything but there are a very different answeres for it. Can someone plz tell me the most common if not the exact position and if it is a 21 hour or if possibly sooner? I know there is no PH mostly cause there are no tree mobs in isle so im smart enough to figure that out <(O.o'<)

Killed it as a 60 rdm was a easy fight. no buffs didn't need it missed alot but it was a long fight. finally killed it in about 20 minutes and lost only 200 hp got the drop. Chainspell Fire 2 and enfire helped.
Just fought this as a 60THF/24RNG, caught it on WS and Flee'd over.
Had 650ish HP / 1000. Opened with a SA then switched to my evasion gear, was getting hit for 70-90 so started spamming bloody bolts, not a single bloody, blind or poison stuck!
This thing missed me 9 times in a row when I had 70 HP left, finally got 100TP and finished it with a Dancing Edge, just as it used Leafstorm, luckily that missed too!

hahaha im a lvl 39 blu and my bro is a level 40 rdm we saw it and decided ***** it and fought it we were about in the 75% hp when we killed it no drop though. killed a second time and got drop

I had just logged on to my character this afternoon (35 smn soloing ep stuff to level it) and I was heading back to Jeuno for some Pso'Xja chip hunting with my brother, when I wandered by this fancy treant. 135/450ish mp, full hp. Seeing as staring at it wasnt going to take it down, I shouted across the hallway to my brother that he better "get his lazy Explative deleted out to qufim on the double."
About 120mp, atleast eight carbuncles, and only 7% of its hp later, he comes walking over on his 75 SAM/THF and wails on it for about thirty seconds, it falls down dead.

Just a few minutes ago I was powerleveling my new character with my higher lvl one using my PC and PS2, and i went to make a sandwhich, and when i got back, i saw a hugemungus tree in front of me O_o I started to freak out because I've never even heard of this NM, let alone see it! So quickly I logged into Alla to find that ppl have solo'd it around 55, and I'm 62pld, so I decided to take it. Sure enough, killed it no problem. It probably only hit me like twice. No drop though. :( I guess it isn't camped so much on this server (Garuda).

solo'd this thng as 51PLD/WAR used up all my mp (elvaan) healing but dont think i was close to death at all...and got the drop 1/1 XD

i fought this dude with a 54 drk solo it was a little challanging so i think this mob is lvl 50-54

Just soloed this NM as a 58 BST/NIN. It spawned next to the Kraken path. I sent my Pet Crab in first to see how well I would fair against this thing. Turns out I didn't have to lay a finger on him. My pet fought the NM and only down to half HP by the time the tree died.

Don't expect to leave your game and find this one waiting for you to kill when you get back. If it isn't claimed, it will probably despawn.
I was in Al Zahbi and someone in my LS spotted Dosetsu Tree. I've camped this before, but never saw it. I told him to guard it and I'm on my way. I rushed to change jobs to PLD/THF, and warped to jeuno. Thankfully, the taru warped me to qufim island. I invited hi to see its exact location. I was about 10 seconds away from the tree, and he said "Omg, it disappeared!"
...WTF? I ran around all of qufim the next hour trying to find it. Lightning weather also came back, but no luck.
I don't know the exact times, but it despawned at ABOUT 18:00(Vana'diel) on darksday, first quarter moon. I think lightning weather might have ended, that might have been why it despawned.

I just fought this NM. THF50/NIN25 with NPC. Pretty much an easy mob. It has a lousy ACC, but some how it start hiting me more often when his HP reached 25%...

I had just Outposted from Windy to Qufim...and I'm running towards Jeuno and I'm like....wtf? A huge tree....looked it up, as 59 whm (Amai) I decided I would give it a shot soloing (Club skill 180 btw).
I nearly used all of my MP, but overall it wasn't a struggle. It dropped the Raikiri, but I was disappointed to see the UNDERCUTTERS on DIABOLOS that sold the last one for 30k -_-
So I'm going to hang on to it for a little bit to see if the price goes back up.

This tree is a wuss. >.> I don't know what level it is, but hearing things like 55+ for melee, I called my NPC, ate a mithkabob, and activated Hundred Fists, being only 52.
... It hit me twice before it died, both for 52 damage. -_-;
No drop. No anything. Just a waste. XD
Found it around F-8 just standing next to an elemental.
So strange a low tree drops a weapon that much higher. o.O

I was running around going to do ZM8, and I saw this guy.. I was like.. umm why is there a tree here.. So I had 300tp SA tachi:Gekko, then waited for all my friends to come see it.. killed it, and got nothing. Shortly after a friends goes, hey.. lig; that thing drops a GK! well that GK is nice for the lvl. I'll be camping it
I stumbled across this mob, and easily defeated it as 60PLD/WAR. Thing has lousy accuracy(I got hit like 6 times) and is somewhat weak, i was only hit for an average of 20 dmg each time.

boo easy for you. i found it in while wandering around qufim as a 60whm, and figured hey its qufim, how hard can things be? i asked my friend and he said kill it. i casted stoneskin and started attacking. things were great until stoneskin wears. and have u noticed that the longer u fight a mob the harder andmore often it starts hitting?? at 100HP i had to 2hour and just barely killed it.
