I posted this originally on the Item Storage NPC in San d'Oria.
Dialect may differ from country to country, I haven't used these others yet.
You can view them all from this link.

The NPC to store items gained from events?
Heading to test now.

Pumpkin head II from this year's Halloween event.
I already tossed WAY too many event rewards, was about to toss this one too, but thought “Hey, didn't they say they were adding NPCs to store this stuff?”

So, here I am, talking to him.

“Do you have any items that you just can't let go of because of the fond memories attached to them? Are you worried about the space they take up in your Mog House? Well, worry no longer--I can store your items here!”

Menu 1:
• Not now, thanks. (ends interaction with NPC)
• Tell me what I can store. (goes to Menu 2)
• Remove an item from storage. (goes to Menu 3)

Menu 2:
“Please select which type of item you would like to know about.”
[Which type of item?]
• I've changed my mind. (ends interaction with NPC)
• Furnishings. (see Furn options)
• Weapons. (see Wpn options)
• Armor - Head. (see Head options)
• Armor - Body, Legs (see Body/Legs options)

Menu 3:

[Which type of item?]
Here it gives you the same categories, for only those which you have stored an item of that type. Same deal like the AF/armor storage NPCs. Easy enough. =)

Furn options:
“I am currently offering storage service for the following Furnishings:”
1. San d'Orian holiday trees
2. Bastokan holiday trees
3. Windurstian holiday trees
4. Kadomatsu
5. Wing eggs
6. Lamp eggs
7. Flower eggs
8. Adventuring certificates
9. Timepieces
“To store an item, trade it to me. Withdrawing an item will cost 500 gil. Please note that upon withdrawal, the recast time for enchanted items will be reset to the maximum level.”

Wpn options:
“I am currently offering storage service for the following Weapons:”
1. Chocobo wands
2. Trick staves
3. Treat staves
4. Treat staves II
5. Wooden katana
6. Hardwood katana
“To store an item, trade it to me. Withdrawing an item will cost 500 gil. Please note that upon withdrawal, the recast time for enchanted items will be reset to the maximum level.”

Head options:
“I am currently offering storage service for the following Armor:”
1. Pumpkin heads
2. Horror heads
3. Pumpkin heads II
4. Horror heads II
5. Dream hats
6. Dream hats +1
7. Sprout berets
8. Guide berets
9. Mandragora berets
“To store an item, trade it to me. Withdrawing an item will cost 500 gil. Please note that upon withdrawal, the recast time for enchanted items will be reset to the maximum level.”

Body/Legs options:
“I am currently offering storage service for the following Armor:”
1. Onoko yukata
2. Lord’s yukata
3. Hume gilets
4. Hume gilets +1
5. Pairs of Hume trunks
6. Pairs of Hume trunks +1
“To store an item, trade it to me. Withdrawing an item will cost 500 gil. Please note that upon withdrawal, the recast time for enchanted items will be reset to the maximum level.”

Now this last one, seems obviously race & gender specific. Makes sense that I’m a male hume, right? I’ll go ahead and assume those would match your case if you’re another gender/race.

So, I traded him my Pumpkin Head II

“Do not worry. Your pumpkin head II is in good hands.”

Hehehe that makes me feel better. >.>
j/k I use the regular armor storage all the time.
3 sets of AF, plus 4-6 other sets of armor.
Yeah, I regret tossing some event **** right now.
Oh well, there’s always next event. ^^

Ooooh. I have my swimsuit, and a Guide Beret too!!
*runs back to Mog House*

[if I mention Karma now, will I get bombed?]

RE: wtf...

He only holds items what have an infinite charge. Trick II does not (only 10 charges), but Treat II does.
Hmmm.

All he needs is a watermelon and a big mallet and he's all set.

Poor taru should have brought a plastic sheet though...
