Vana'diel Bestiary: Mamool Ja Mimicker  

My duoing partner and I (both 70 BLU/WHM at the time) killed VT Mamool Ja Mimickers in Mamook for our testimonies. Blue Mages are great at killing casters, due to Head Butt. One warning though:

DO. NOT. LET. IT. CAST. COCOON!

You can take them down pretty easily, but Cocoon throws a big fat wrench into everything. Your attacks and physical spells won't do nearly as much damage, and you'll spend a lot of MP and time whittling it down. Always zerg these. If it tries to Cocoon, use Head Butt and pray it procs. We died twice in about 10 hours spent farming testimonies here, and both times it was because some irritating Mimicker used Cocoon early in the fight. Might want to keep Geist Wall on hand, if you have room.

You have no idea what an amazing spell Cocoon is until you're on the receiving end of it.

I've seen Blu Mamool Jas, and Troll Pup.. Where are the Cors?

My 1st day in Woods with Nin and Whm buddy just running about exploring. We see a mamool mimicker and decide to fight it for fun. Nin vokes, and we all engage. Used Bad Breath right off bat :\.. After all the Na spells and Erases with Sprout Smacks the nin. I silence it and we kill it quickly. Though it was hilarious. There are also the Blu mamool in Bhafau by the staging point (where the merit pt camps are) who use all other nasty blu spells. Really keep these silenced.

Also the ones in Bhafau can use Vorpal Blade, idk about these. I find that funny and awsome.
