OK, 0/25. After 1.5hours of farming i got fed up and decided to go to Pyopyoroon and have him actually request the item. Got the drop on the first kill. Maybe coincidence, i dunno. 10 min of your time vs. 1.5hours... you make the call.

Glad everyone else had that many drop. I am 0/14 so far. As a BST though they are easy to take down solo.
For those attemping to solo/duo the great ameretat's be cautioned. They have a nasty regen.

I don't know what you guys were smoking, but this drop rate is horrible. I soloed Ameretats just south of Al Zabhi, in that area with 5 of them and a bunch of tigers. Well, long story short, I'm 1/10 and and got quite frustrated over it because of everyone saying its such a common drop. There's no doubt in my mind that you guys either had a THF, were fighting Greater Ameretats and they have a higher drop rate, or both...
The mob is very easy though, checks Decent Challenge to 75, suceptible to sleep, weak to fire, but my Thunder IV never got resisted and always had them down to either 12 or 15% after 3 or 4 nukes (can't remember which). They have really low accuracy and often missed me as a BLM/WHM with my impressive 200 evasion skill, and their physical strength is nothing to write home about either as a critical hit did only 62 damage to me (although I think stoneskin was still up) and it took about 4-5 hits to break through my stoneskin. They do attack quickly, so I recommend keeping Aquaveil up.

The drop rate on this acid is great. Not 100%, but very high, we needed 5, and we went 5/7. But what caught us offguard was the fact that these nasty little bastards have Endrain and can absorb *all* buffs at once with Vampiric Lash or whatever it was called.
