If u didnt alrdy know this weapon is used 2 unlock the weaponskill Atonement which is the best weaponskill for paldain seeing the Mod for it is emity/hate and damage max's out at about 750 seems the defense or buff's on mobs does not matter will still hit for 750 from what im told by a paldain i saw with the weaponskill he said he hits for 750 on krin genbu timat just about any mob

I noticed this while looking at these weapons... They all have their names and types from original FF games. Werebuster was a mace found in Final Fantasy 1, This is a sword in Final Fantasy 5, Mage's Staff was in early Final Fantasy games, and Wightslayer was from Final Fantasy 3. They will most likely put some added effect or a certain use forr these weapons, considering they did something in other Final Fantasy games.
We had one of these drop from Nyzul Floor 100 Khimaira last night. We also have Burning Claws (PUP) and Windslicer (SAM) from previous runs on the same floor.
Supposedly SE plans for the floor 100 weapons to give access to new weaponskills. No info yet on how to unlock them.

The Brave Blade in Final Fantasy V had a "hidden effect" of increased attack power if you did not run from battles. If you did not run from a single battle during the game it was the most powerful weapon available.

This sword has a DPS of 10.0 using the formula (Damage)/(Delay/60). It seems to be about the same damage wise as other swords available for paladin, but unless there is some hidden effect in the Brave Blade other swords are better for tanking.
Unless it has a pretty mean hidden effect I don't see it coming close to Hauteclaire.
