This things are like chigoe, hit insanely fast and got a very high evasion, I soloed a EM one as THF 75 and had a really hard time hitting them with ranged attack bloody bolts even with sushi but killed one with 350 HP left, they use a slow thing that feels like slow II on you makes recast time for Utsusemi very long so overall nasty to solo fight these.
I got a gnat wing and 105 exp from it.
Edit: Btw I used EVA gear, whiteout that you wont last long even as THF. I had EVA skill 291 and about +50 evasion on gear.

Fought these last night in Sauromugue near the fort. They conned EM to T, so 75-77.
I was on my smn. Did one fight solo, and then duoed with a 75 thf/nin. I won my one solo fight, but it took a lot of kiting and a timely Cure IV from a passing sprite. Got 136xp and a wing. The duo fights were about 3/5 with no wings dropping on them.
These things hit fast and rip through shadows. I would recommend a pld tank. You need someone that can take a hit. The thf could not survive if he started swinging at the beginning of the fight. Could not keep shadows up and couldn't evade hits. We finally won a few by having leviathan blood pact a couple of times to get the gnat's hp down to 50%. Used levi because of his slowga. A bard for elegy and a rdm or whm for slow would be a great help, too.
I was fighting these guys because of a supply ops that requires 4 gnat wings. I don't think I'll do supply ops for a while.

They aren't exactly nice... yet neither is silk road. At least they can be duo'd if you're paying attention. They attack rather quickly. So i wouldn't suggest solo.

Where can I find gnats to solo for these? These seems to be a new easy way of getting cloth craft through the silk road.
As a 75nin/war they check T to VT in the mOuntain where Waraxe Beak pops, only in the past. Didn't try fighting, goodluck!
