Got mine completely on accident; my static was getting our augury shells for the magicite mission and we were fighting quadav in Beadeaux waiting for our guy to pop. I actually had a full inventory for quite some time, and I seem to have an OCD-like complex where if I don't steal every chance I get, I feel really, really dirty, so I throw something reasonably cheap out and on the first steal immediately following, I get the stew X3
mnk55/thf25 stole it off a garnet last nite while campin stuff.
Just got the drop a minute ago off a silver quadav with the help of a nice 41 mithra rdm :P

heya... i spent better part of the day reading about everything to do with THFs. I saw this thread and did it. 2nd try at stealing i got the stew. 1st on the Bronze then 2nd on the Silver, i got the stew. really feel sry for those who spend too much time trying to get the stew....good luck to u guys
i spent 3 days now, and 2-3 hours each day, and no soup, i have stolen from Silver, Bronze, Garnet, and Go'Bhu and none of those stupid turtles gave it to me >< death to all quadavs!!!!!!!!!!!! give me my damn soup!! im just going to wait til lvl 40 to even try again, im going to go insane getting this
I got this thing by accident 2 days ago, had no idea what it was for, so I came here to find out. I stole it off a Bronze Quadav while farming with DRK/THF. My THF is lvl 30, so I think I will keep it for when I finally get it to 40.
It took me about 10 minutes total, walking time from the crag, then the time it took to steal it from a BRONZE quadav. Just attempt to steal from any of the quadav on top of the ridge, you'll get it. FYI I did it as a PLD60/THF30 ^^

I agree with DarkHarlequinn, i tried for 2 hours for this normally... then i tried the bronze quadav on the ridge w/o engaging and got it ....

I just stole My Stew from a Bronze Quadav. I tried Zircon, Garnet, & silver quads and was 0/10 steals. Then stole from a bronze quad in beaudux off the ridge after he had 1/8th hp left for the stew.

What gives, I spent hours trying to steal this crap from these idiots, with absolutely no luck might I add. Is there a real trick t6o this?
I tried the Steal and run tactic while solo, nothing. Then I enlisted a higher lvl player to distract the mobs while I stole from behind while in a pty, and again nothing.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did this last night as a 34THF/17NIN, it was too damn easy, i stoled it from a bronze quadav, in my 2nd attempt, just range attk any bronze, zircon, silver and garnet quadavs, go near zone then steal from them, i recommend this cuase they are T at lvl 34, and magic hits very hard, i prefer bronze quadavs cause they are weaker, zircon casted on me thundaga 2 times, leaving me in red ><, while bronze only casted banish II doing little damage to me, forget about being behind, i already ranged attk him and then used steal only for a 2nd time :P, maybe i was just lucky

I Stole it as a 32DRK/THF while doing the Rank4-3 mission. I never knew it was for the THF af1 though! Nice to have since I will start raising my THF again.
I stole it from a Silver Quadav as a 28THF/13WHM while doing the Rank 5 runs for the magicite.
Not too bad. Shame I can't use it for my Thief AF dagger until 40...

It's for the Thief AF1 quest. It does not drop, and can only be stolen.

can anyone actually tell me what quest this item is used in? any help would be appreciated.
anyone knows what happens if you eat it? all i know is it lowers agi by four not sure if it does anything else.
